I want to get into cybersecurity but I don’t know how to start or what certs to get first or should i start in help desk or not i want to get a tech job in 2026

Hey Fellas, I am a college grad in computer science and transitioning into Cybersecurity. I got my Network+ and currently enrolled in a program that will give me voucher to take CySA+ and Splunk Core user. Should I get the security+ certificate using my own money or is it not worse it since CySA+ is a higher level certificate anyways? Thank you.

I am trying to apply for interns but getting rejected, i think it is due to the resume. Can you people help me with your resume so I can understand what to do and what not. I have no prior work experience

I’ve been reading a lot and I keep seeing mixed opinions. Some people say experience and certifications matter more than a degree, others say you need the full academic background. What do you think? Am I wasting my time, or is cybersecurity still a realistic career path for someone willing to learn from the ground up?
