Job SummaryThe Network Engineer provides day-to-day operational and technical support for network services, including responding to queries, executing tickets, maintaining documentation, supporting hardware installations, and ensuring stable network performance. This role supports labs, office environments, and data center network infrastructure while participating in implementation projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily operational and technical support for network services, including ticket execution and issue resolution.
- Maintain up-to-date schematic diagrams for infrastructure and low-level architecture.
- Keep accurate inventory of all network devices.
- Monitor network performance, system availability, and overall reliability.
- Install and configure network hardware such as Wireless Access Points, switches, phones, routers, and related devices.
- Support networking needs across office, lab, and data center environments.
- Participate in network implementation projects when required.
Required Experience
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN/WiFi technologies and structured cabling.
- Experience working with Cisco and/or Juniper equipment.
- Understanding of routing and switching technologies such as VLAN, VXLAN, STP, VPC, HSRP, NAT, IPSec, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP.
- Background or study in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Hands-on packet-level analysis of applications and network protocols.
- Experience working with network monitoring, automation tools, and Infoblox.
- Exposure to load balancers, firewalls, and wireless controllers.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of network protocols and security principles
- Familiarity with routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and switching technologies
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Wi-Fi infrastructure
- Ability to maintain documentation and inventories
