Post Shower Review: Thaheen Carved Oud
I sprayed Thaheem Carved Oud right after my shower tonight, and it’s been about 30 minutes now, and this one made its presence known almost immediately.
The opening is smooth and woody with a creamy oud note that feels refined, not harsh or medicinal. There’s a subtle spice and a soft sweetness in the background that keeps it from feeling dry or scratchy. What really stands out to me is how balanced it is—rich, classy, and masculine without being loud or overpowering. It feels like something you could wear dressed up or even casually and still feel confident.
As it settles, the fragrance gets even better. The woods become warmer and more rounded, and the oud stays smooth the entire time. It honestly reminds me a lot of Tom Ford Oud Wood, but with more depth and strength. In my opinion, this not only matches Oud Wood—it outperforms it. It projects better, lasts longer, and gives me more satisfaction overall. For me, this is what I always wanted Oud Wood to be.
The sillage is noticeable but controlled. People around you will smell it, especially in the first couple of hours, but it never feels intrusive. Longevity is another big win. Even 30 minutes in, it feels like it’s just getting started, and I already know this one is going to stick around well into the night.
Ratings:
  • Scent: 9/10
  • Sillage: 8.5/10
  • Longevity: 9/10
Overall, Carved Oud is a standout fragrance for me. It delivers a smooth, high-quality oud experience and, in my opinion, is better and more complete than Tom Ford Oud Wood. This one definitely earns a permanent spot in my collection.
