Gatorade alternatives for kids
Just listened to the latest podcast. Any health(ish) options for kids who play sports? I've done the zero sugar Gatorade and Honest kids juice boxes for soccer games.
Amino acid supplements
Amino acid supplements anyone would recommend? Pill version or powder you mix into a drink? Thanks all for any suggestions!
From my newsletter: 📣 HUGE peptide news! 🎉
drmarypines.com/free-help/-huge-peptide-news- If you’ve been in my world for a minute, you know how much I LOVE PEPTIDES!! I follow the field and science closely, and have for many years - well before they exploded in popularity a few years ago! (And NO I’m not just talking about Glp1s!! There are many therapeutic peptides!) I’m currently completing my FULL peptides certification so I can deepen my knowledge and officially you full-spectrum peptide support! YAY! [Why? Because peptides are truly *amazing*, natural medicine. If you don’t know what peptides are and why to use them, please pop over to blog linked above and scroll down below the announcements. Podcast episode coming up too!] 📣 *2 BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS* 📣 1. FDA Peptide Reclassification Feb 27 2026 -> SEE MY IG POST! HHS Secretary RFK Jr. announced (on the sly on a podcast!) that approximately 14 of 19 restricted peptides of incredible therapeutic benefit will return to LEGAL compounding status, probably in the next few weeks! 2. With this announcement (and greater legitimacy for peptides in North America), I’m INCORPORATING PEPTIDE OFFERINGS into my Better Beyond 40 Formula program! YAY! I’m also considering offering a *limited number of hourly peptide consultations* to the general public on a weekly basis. ...If you’re interested in joining the Better Beyond 40 Formula or getting a personal peptide consult, please let me know by sending me a DM to get on the waitlist. 🙂

From my newsletter: 🍗TOO much protein? + A NEW Podcast: Gut Healing 🎉
Hi friends, Some of you don't get my newsletter, so in case you missed it: 2 FUN THINGS for you in this one... 1. Let’s do some debunking on protein intake. Every so often, a health or nutrition headline pops up that I just cannot ignore. Today’s offender? Yet another hot take on protein…One of you lovelies just sent me this recent article asking if it’s legit (thank you!), so I thought I’d answer here. The headline is “5 signs you might be overdoing it on protein." Oh, the media… We’ve got one camp shouting “protein is everything,” and now a growing chorus in mainstream media warning that we’re “obsessed” and “overdoing it.” The drama. The fear. The clicks. NO WONDER everyone is SO confused and overwhelmed with all the conflicting info from every direction. I hear it every day on calls. Anyway, let’s walk through this little gem together, because there are some reaaaal stretches in here. [TLDR; I call major BS on this article.] 2. NEW PODCAST EPISODE! Episode 6 is live - our first guest episode! :) "Gut Feelings & Diet Myths: Healing from the Inside Out", with Danna Levy Hoffman I sit down with my wonderful colleague and friend Danna, a Functional Medicine-certified Nutritionist & Health Coach in Switzerland…where Functional Medicine is really more the norm. Oh, Europe. 🥰 Danna has studied nutrition, psychology, and functional medicine for decades, she’s super real, fun to listen to, and offers us practical tips that WORK for midlife women. We unpack gut health, food freedom, trusting the body and why dieting keeps failing women over 40. From bloating and migraines to emotional eating and weight struggles, they explore how so many symptoms start in the gut — and why the real path forward isn’t restriction.

Too much collagen
Would taking a collagen supplement and drinking some bone broth every day be too much? I've read that too much collagen can affect the kidneys, and I don't want to do that!
