Hi everyone, Curious what the beach volleyball community thinks about this. Iโ€™ve been a lifelong 6v6 indoor player. Grew up in Northern Colorado. Iโ€™m also very short for volleyball (5'2) but still managed to get college paid for playing at a few smaller schools through this sport, which Iโ€™m super grateful for. Anywayโ€ฆ I might be moving to Florida and would love to get into beach. But I know being 5'2 and trained mostly on the court might make me kind of a wacky beach partner lol. Donโ€™t both players usually need to be able to hit and play at the net? Or are there other ways? Iโ€™m not trying to play at some crazy high level, but I also donโ€™t want to just play rec level either. What should someone like me focus on to become a solid sand player? How would you train if you were in my position? Guessing vertical would be the biggest focus but still unsure if at my age (25) I should even be looking at doubles sand. Maybe 4v4s? For context, I was a setter about 90% of my career and my last year of college I played libero. Alrightโ€ฆ give it to me straight in the comments. ๐Ÿ˜…
