eBay rules
Sold a climate control to a customer. When they received it they didn't even test it, they immediately disassembled it, took photos and sent them to me of the unit completely torn apart in eBay messages. Then immediately returned it, all in the same day. The pictures even show his old unit and the one they purchased from me in pieces on the table. Of course when it gets here the security stickers on the side are all popped. I disputed it with eBay stating obviously the customer swapped parts. No surprise eBay sided with the customer within seconds. So, I called and talked to an agent who informed me that customers are allowed to tear the unit apart to troubleshoot then return the part if they wanted. I mentioned the customer never even tested it, they just tore into it. Again I was informed that this is acceptable. I have to prove they took a part and he recommended I start documenting the internals going forward. Also security stickers afford us no protection according to him. So guys go the extra mile and document those internals, take pictures and have them in your listings going forward because eBay really isn't going to back you in these situations. I don't know any other situation where disassembling an item doesn't void a warranty, period. I swear the first company that comes around as a somewhat viable alternative to eBay I am jumping ship immediately

BS returns.
What actions or steps are you guys taking to mitigate or reduce returns for frivolous reasons? How about buyers with zero feedback? I know we cannot automatically block buyers with zero feedback, even with filters. But I swear these spoiled brats returning stuff because they don't like it/changed their mind, or it doesn't fit, because they don't bother to read the compatibility list we post seriously has me considering just selling out the 15 Grand in stock we have and finding something else to do. I ha e considered collaborating on a list of problem buyers so we could all just cut and paste them into our black buyers list, but I am not convinced it would be effective enough to curate..
