Why should you write a book?
Often I hear these words…”Why should I write a book?” Even though that is a true sentiment many people feel deep down inside it also is a real thought provoking question to me. Here is an even better question to ask. 👉🏽Why not you? 👉🏽Whose responsibility is it to tell your story in all of its truth, pain and triumph? 👉🏽Who can share the most thought provoking aspects of your life? 👉🏽Besides children’s books and self-help books autobiographies are the most powerful stories you can tell of a life that has been lived with its own unique footprint even if you are a twin. 👉🏽One small aspect of your life CAN reach and rescue a whole other person. 👉🏽Consider yourself fortunate to be able to leave a living blueprint of your own adventures, creativity, brilliance, mistakes and missteps for your family and the next generation to come after you. Now that’s legacy! 👉🏽 You are in the right place to get the tools needed to start your writing journey for sure. 👉🏽 Using poetry is also a unique way of reaching out to the world with a rhythmic flow of words.

Memoir vs. Autobiography
Grand Rising, Often we confuse autobiographical stories with memoirs. Knowing the difference between the two will help you to understand and decide which one is best for you. An autobiography can have several layers of information about your personal life usually starting as early as childhood. Though you can start later around the early teen years either way it’s truly your life journey. A memoir is about choosing a part of your life where something happened and it becomes your entry point. This event may have triggered a whole career, mind shift, or personal situation that you feel makes for a good story. Both of them are a great way for you to share your thoughts, experiences, and ideas with others through a story. Knowing which one to choose will dictate how to tell the story and how much to share based on your choice. If you are stuck on deciding which one is best for you then take some time to explore inwardly exactly what story resonates the most. Is it a slice of your life that feels most potent or your whole story that gives a full picture of who you are and who you have become. Share your thoughts below and explain your idea on which one might be right for you if you are considering either one.
