Advice for dealing with pride?
Hey, guys. I recently learned that the sin I commit most often is pride of life. What advice do you recommend?
Killing Lust Before It Kills You — 1 Thessalonians 4:3–5
Big Idea: • Purity isn’t behavior modification—it’s worship. • Fleeing is wise, not weak (2 Tim 2:22). Reflection: 1) Where are your top 2 triggers? 2) What boundary will you set in the next 24 hrs? 3) Which brother will you text for accountability? Action: Delete one access point today (app/site) and replace with a verse card. Pray with: Psalm 51:10

Release and Be Free — Matthew 18:21–35
Big Idea: • In the Kingdom, forgiveness is boundless—stop keeping score (Matt. 18:21–22). • We’ve been forgiven an unpayable debt; forgiven people forgive people (vv. 23–27). • Unforgiveness is a prison that torments the soul; release others to walk free (vv. 28–35). Reflection Questions: 1. Who am I still holding in my heart, and why? 2. Where am I “counting offenses” instead of extending grace? 3. Is the blood of Christ enough to cover what they did—and to set me free today? Action This Week: • Name one person before God and, from the heart, pray a prayer of release: “Father, because You forgave me in Christ, I forgive ___ and place them at the foot of the Cross.” If wise and safe, take one concrete step (journal it, pray their blessing, or have a humble conversation). Suggested Scriptures To Pray: • Matthew 18:21–35 • Matthew 6:12, 14–15 • Ephesians 4:31–32 • Colossians 3:12–13 • Mark 11:25 • Romans 12:17–21 • Hebrews 12:14–15 • Psalm 139:23–24

Do Not Worry — Matthew 6:25–34
Big Idea: • Jesus commands, “Do not be anxious”—treat worry like sin, not a pet. Peace comes by trusting the Father. • Creation proves God’s care: if He feeds birds and clothes lilies/grass, He will provide for His children; provision follows purpose when we seek the Kingdom first. • You can’t serve God and money; choose God’s rule over material preoccupation to live free from anxiety. Reflection Questions: 1. Where is anxiety showing up most for you (finances, health, relationships), and what does that reveal about your trust? 2. What “birds and lilies” reminders of God’s past provision can you point to this week? 3. Which recurring thoughts fuel your worry, and how will you take them captive to obey Christ? Action This Week: • Set a 5-minute daily alarm to “Lift Up Worry”: pray Philippians 4:6–7 over one specific anxiety and leave it with God. Suggested Scriptures To Pray: • Matthew 6:25–34 • Philippians 4:6–7 • 2 Corinthians 10:5 • 1 Peter 5:7 • Matthew 6:33 • Isaiah 26:3–4 • Psalm 23:1 • Luke 12:6–7

A Matter of Integrity — Psalm 15
Big Idea: • Integrity isn’t perfection—it’s an integrated life where your behavior matches your beliefs across public, private, work, family, and social spheres. • “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely” (Prov. 10:9): integrity builds a steady life and legacy; hypocrisy fractures it. • Do what’s right and trust God with the results—integrity is easier to keep than to recover. Reflection Questions: 1. Where am I most defensive, most hidden, or most critical of others—and what might that reveal about my heart? 2. If reputation is who people think I am and integrity is who I truly am, where do those two diverge? 3. What “small” compromise (story, tax, login, expense, promise) is building the kind of house I don’t want to live in? Action This Week: • Pray Psalm 139:23–24 daily (“Search me, God…”) and act on what the Spirit shows: confess to God and make one concrete amends (tell the truth, return what isn’t yours, keep a promise). Suggested Scriptures To Pray: • Psalm 15 • Proverbs 10:9 • Psalm 139:23–24 • Matthew 23:25–26 • Proverbs 11:3 • Luke 16:10 • 1 John 1:9 • Colossians 3:17
