Do Not Worry — Matthew 6:25–34
Big Idea:
• Jesus commands, “Do not be anxious”—treat worry like sin, not a pet. Peace comes by trusting the Father.
• Creation proves God’s care: if He feeds birds and clothes lilies/grass, He will provide for His children; provision follows purpose when we seek the Kingdom first.
• You can’t serve God and money; choose God’s rule over material preoccupation to live free from anxiety.
Reflection Questions:
  1. Where is anxiety showing up most for you (finances, health, relationships), and what does that reveal about your trust?
  2. What “birds and lilies” reminders of God’s past provision can you point to this week?
  3. Which recurring thoughts fuel your worry, and how will you take them captive to obey Christ?
Action This Week:
• Set a 5-minute daily alarm to “Lift Up Worry”: pray Philippians 4:6–7 over one specific anxiety and leave it with God.
Suggested Scriptures To Pray:
• Matthew 6:25–34
• Philippians 4:6–7
• 2 Corinthians 10:5
• 1 Peter 5:7
• Matthew 6:33
• Isaiah 26:3–4
• Psalm 23:1
• Luke 12:6–7
