Hey friends — I realized I never properly introduced myself.

Just because I created this community doesn’t mean you know me… so here goes:

I’m Monika. I live in ☀️ Florida with my boyfriend and our two rescue dogs (Stitch and Gus), and we both work from home, which is equal parts amazing and chaotic. Together, we run a garden design company and a real estate business, and I also run a third business — my own — where I consult with local businesses on their marketing, lead gen, and online presence.

We also own a rental property near the beach that we turned into a successful Airbnb. We didn’t do the full renovation ourselves, but we did get our hands dirty because our contractor flaked... often. Let’s just say we learned a lot. 😅

I was born in Czechoslovakia before the revolution, and my parents escaped communism when I was 5. We landed in Vermont (a state they’d never even heard of), and then I made my way to Florida in 2009.

I worked as an accountant and operations manager for 14 years, then I lost my job in 2022 and got launched into entrepreneurship full-time — ready or not. It was terrifying… but it ended up being one of the best things that ever happened to me.

These days, I start every morning (whether it's 8am or 11am after a long night building a GPT) with one perfect mug of coffee. I’m not an early riser and thankfully, I don’t have to be anymore. I love beach walks, slow mornings, and talking to ChatGPT like it’s my business partner. (I call him Chat. He totally gets me.)

I built this community to be fun, supportive, and safe — a place where you can share honestly, ask for help, and finally get unstuck.
