Is ClawdBot Worth the Hype?

Idk about you guys but everywhere I look on X (Twitter) or YouTube the rage is now all about 'ClawdBot'. Have you guys explored this yet?

I purchased a Mac Mini M4 to eventually test this out as I would NEVER deploy this on your main computer. I also bought this as a backup device to my MacBook Pro and not just to try ClawdBot lol.

"I think Clawdbot is overhyped. I played with it all weekend. It’s cool but doesn’t truly tackle long term passive tasks.

It’s just a wake process and pre preprompted agent with tool calling. Plus, giving it access to things that matter (your email, your files etc) without oversight is really scary. There is a good chance that I could prompt inject your clawdbot and have it send me all your personal data if I know you’re running it.

I am looking forward to products like Claude cowork and Gemini drawing inspiration from it though. There are tons of good ideas in there, but I still think most people should not use it. Invest in a strong Claude Code setup instead and skills that preprompt your workflows while you’re keeping an eye on what it’s doing. Alternatively, n8n with limited scopes feels a lot safer than this, plus Claude Code is pretty good at building these workflows for you now."
