What model for what task?

People are asking for lists and advice on what AI model works best for what tasks.

Things are moving so quickly as new models seem to be released weekly it is hard to keep a proper list. So the best general advice I usually have is to try the different models on your tasks and workflows and you will understand what works best for your exact situation.

It is also good for us to share what is working for each of us, then others can get an idea where to start or what to try at what period of time.

I will start.

Mostly I am using Opus 4.5 to plan everything, develop specifications, plan projects, releases etc. Also using him for creating front end and web design. I also use this as a reviewer of completed tasks.

Then I am using GLM 4.7 inside claude code to execute the plans. the workhorse if you will.

Gemini 3, I use for second opinion on things and also some vision ideation, sometimes it comes up with ideas the others don't and seems more willing to talk about these things openly instead of giving the safe answer. also GEmini flash 3 is ultra fast, and good for reviews as well. and seems almost as good as pro in many situations.

But both gemini models are terrible at listening to instructions in CLI and I do not trust it in YOLO mode.
