Wild Ideas for the New ChatGPT Health Section
OpenAI is rolling out a dedicated **Health** section for ChatGPT, and it’s going to be a big deal. You’ll be able to connect medical records, Apple Health, and apps like MyFitnessPal so the model can see your *actual* history instead of guessing from one question at a time.
I’m really interested in using this not just for “what does this lab mean?” but for *patterns over years*:
- Spotting slow trends in labs (vitamin levels, inflammation markers, kidney function, blood counts) and flagging when your baseline is drifting in the wrong direction, even if each single test is still “normal.”
- Building a longitudinal view of your health data (labs, meds, symptoms, sleep, activity) so the AI can show where your body seems to be trending and what changed right before things got better or worse.
- Generating “doctor-ready” summaries: a one‑page history of the last 6–12 months that turns all that raw data into something you can bring to an appointment to push for better care or rehab.
Some wild ideas this community could run with:
- An agent that watches your incoming labs over time and only pings you when something important is shifting, instead of freaking you out on every small fluctuation.
- A “trajectory explainer” that shows: *if you keep doing what you’re doing, here’s where your key markers are likely headed in 6–12 months* (and here are 2–3 evidence‑based changes that historically move those curves).
- A chronic‑condition companion that lines up symptoms, meds, PT/rehab notes, and activity data to highlight: “These were your best weeks; what was different in your routine?”
Curious what this group thinks:
- What’s the *first* health pattern you’d want an AI agent to track for you or your family?
- Would you trust an agent to watch your labs/sleep/activity in the background and only alert you (and maybe your doctor) when something really matters?
- Who here is already working on AI + health data, and how could we plug into this new Health section early?
I’d love to jam on this with anyone building agents or workflows—especially around long‑term tracking, disability, aging, and “are things getting better or worse?” over time.
