The 80/20 Rule: Let AI Handle the 80, You Do the 20
If I were starting out in your shoes, here’s exactly how I’d approach AI in my business:
First, I wouldn’t try to replace myself with AI. That’s the mistake a lot of people make - they either go all in on automation and lose their human touch, or they ignore AI completely and waste hours on work they shouldn’t be doing.
Instead, I’d let AI take the 80% of tasks that drain my time but don’t really need me. For example:
  • Capturing and tagging leads automatically
  • Sending out nurture emails and SMS follow-ups
  • Scheduling calls and sending reminders
  • Tracking pipeline progress
  • Even handling the most common objections like “Is this the right time?” or “What’s the price?”
Then, I’d reserve my 20% of energy for the moments that actually move the needle:
  • Having real conversations that build trust
  • Handling complex objections that need empathy
  • Crafting the right strategy for each client
  • Delivering the transformation that only I can give
Here’s how that plays out in practice if it were me:
  • My AI assistant warms up the lead with emails, reminders, and even FAQs.
  • By the time I step in, the lead already knows who I am, what I offer, and why it matters.
  • All I have to do is show up, connect, and close — without wasting hours chasing or following up.
The result?
I’m spending less time “managing” my business and more time actually growing it.
If I had to sum it up:
👉 Let AI be your system.
👉 You be the strategist.
That’s how I’d play the game if I were in your spot.
What about you — if you could take ONE thing off your plate and let AI handle it this week, what would it be?
