Getting Your First AI Automation Client—Why Is It So Damn Hard?
Man, getting the first client for AI automation is way harder than actually building the automation itself. Like, I can set up bots, automate workflows, and streamline processes all day—but convincing someone to pay for it? Whole different game.
At first, I was just messing around with tools, setting up demo bots, and figuring things out. But then came the real challenge: finding someone who actually wants it and is willing to pay. I reached out to my network, got ignored a bunch, pitched to a few people, and realized most businesses don’t even know they need automation.
So now, my approach? I build mini-demos for potential clients, show them what’s possible, and offer a no-risk trial—just to get my foot in the door. Not perfect, but it's working (kind of).
For those who’ve landed their first client, how did you do it? Cold outreach? Network? Luck? Let’s Discuss.
