Starting out: What happens with the new leads if the client cancells?

Hey agency owners! I hope everyone is well.

I am new in the space and I have several questions, one of them being:

What happens after a client cancells? if you have a client for several months and they get a bunch new clients and then decide that no longer they need they agency services do they get to stay with all the new leads? what can I do in a scenario like that?
