Protein Isn’t Just About Building Muscle One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is: “I only need to worry about protein if I’m trying to build muscle.” The truth? After 40, protein becomes even more important because it helps support: Muscle Maintenance – Helps you preserve the muscle you’ve worked hard to build and supports healthy aging. Recovery – Aids in repairing muscle tissue after exercise so you’re ready for your next workout. Bone Health – Works alongside other nutrients to support strong, healthy bones. Satiety – Helps you feel fuller longer, making it easier to manage hunger and make healthier food choices. Healthy Aging – Maintaining adequate protein intake supports strength, mobility, independence, and overall quality of life as we age. You don’t have to be perfect overnight. Today’s Campus Challenge Did I include a quality source of protein at each meal today? I’d love to hear from you… What’s your favorite healthy source of protein? Let’s learn from one another! One of the biggest reasons I created ASA is because I believe women over 40 can continue getting stronger, healthier, and more confident at any age. I’d love to know: What is one strength or health goal you are currently working toward? Maybe it’s: - Getting stronger in the gym - Building muscle - Improving consistency - Feeling better in your clothes - Having more energy Share below—I want to get to know everyone in this community!
