With permission for , this post is about a Neurodiversity tech startup that I am a cofounder of. I am not selling thing at this point, but rather looking for input and feedback on what problems we can help solve. Then, once we have created the solutions, it would be helpful to make sure we got it right. The name of the company is "waves" (non-capitalization is intentional for branding) with a tagline of "Healing Humanity".
In a nutshell, we are creating an online platform for individuals to travel a journey of self-discovery, without labels or formal diagnosis, to better understand their Neurodistinct traits and struggles. Once their journey is complete, they join a community of "like minded" individuals, to continue learning about themselves, their peers, and how to navigate the bizarre world we're all in through empathy, communication, and connection. This will be a social community, not social media.
MISSION - to create a safe and educational space for individuals to explore their identity and intuitive role within the context of the neurodiversity paradigm.
VISION - We envision a world without divisions of "them" and "us," where every individual has the freedom to discover and fulfill their innate purpose.

HELP US TO HELP ALL OF US
-------------------------------------------------
This is an international, non-profit organization, looking to be a centralized hub of information and resources for all types of neurodiversity. Humble as we are, we know that our small team doesn't have all the answers.
THEREFORE.... I'm looking to interview people about their personal journey of self-discovery. Feel free to comment to this post, or reach out to me directly to schedule a time to chat.
Sample questions:
- If you have a formal diagnosis, when did you get that?
- If you're self-diagnosed, when did you first suspect you have ADHD?
- Does a diagnosis help you? How?
- What made you start to consider that you "thought differently" and needed help?
- What resource(s) do you rely on, to include medication or therapy?
- What resource(s) would you refuse to use?
- Would you join an online community of people with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, and other Neuro conditions, or would you rather it be exclusive to ADHD?
- What would you want to see in an online social community, including what feature here on Skool that you like?
As I mentioned, we're still a startup tech company, with extremely limited funds. We even allowed our initial webpage to expire. That wasn't so much a financial decision as the fact that we decided to stay away from the limitation of "brain waves", and allow for a wider expansion of use. For now, anyone can follow waves on Linkedin, where we will be providing more information and make announcements. We're also looking for technical experts that can volunteer some time helping us build this online tool and community. Starting as a website, but eventually will have a mobile app, too.
We will have vetted coaches and therapists around the world, and will build this list through referrals, to help ensure those individuals are culturally competent. Anyone can claim to be an ADHD Coach or specialized therapist. That doesn't mean they are, or that they are helpful.
I'm happy to answer any questions and schedule time with anyone interested to chat.
