🚀Thinking of or Starting a Business? Read this, please.
Many of you told me that you want to start your own businesses. That's fantastic, and know that I'm your biggest cheerleader! 🥰 Here are some things to keep in mind.
One of the FIRST problems every new mompreneur has to solve is this:
👉 How do I get people to actually see my offer, service, or community?
Because creating the offer is only part of the business.
The real bottleneck for most new entrepreneurs is TRAFFIC --> getting eyeballs 👀--> which I call the ATTRACT Phase of business (more on that in later posts).
Not because you’re doing anything wrong...
But if people don’t know you exist, they can’t buy from you. 😅
Always keep this in mind...and you're one step ahead in the entrepreneurial game.
-------------------------------------------------
And this is where I think the Skool platform is becoming a really interesting option for ADHD moms who want to start simple.
I'm one of the OG's of Skool since 2023. So, I've seen it from its Beta phase and its evolution.
One of the many things I admire about Skool is that they genuinely try to help entrepreneurs, like us, get traffic. They've been experimenting with many options. Many of them are already implemented and working well for community owners, like me. 🥰
And yesterday, they officially announced that they will now help Skool community owners get traffic through ads!
Ads outside of Skool...like ads on Meta, Instagram, Facebook, Google, etc.
Let's pause here because I want to emphasize ➡️ that's a BIG deal!!!!💃💃💃
Why? Because when you’re new, you usually don’t have:
❌ A big audience
❌ A huge email list
❌ Ad experience
❌ A full funnel
❌ Extra brain space to learn 47 more things
And for ADHD brains, that matters....a lot! 😁
Because starting a business already takes so much executive function:
🧠 Deciding what to sell
🧠 Explaining what you do
🧠 Creating content
🧠 Following up
🧠 Managing energy
🧠 Learning tools
🧠 Staying consistent
So if there is a platform that can help reduce the “How do I get traffic?” problem, that is worth paying attention to. That's why I'm paying attention. And I invite you to do so as well. 🎯
-------------------------------------------------
Here’s the simple version. Skool can promote your community through their "Growth Boost" system, which means:
✅ You do not have to learn ads first
✅ Skool creates the ads that feature your community
✅ Skool pays for the ads upfront
✅ You only pay if Skool helps bring you a paying member
✅ If you bring your own members, you do not pay the Growth Boost commission
✅ You don't do any work at all
That is a fantastic deal for new mompreneurs. 🤯
👉 Especially if you’re in the “I have an idea, but I don’t know where to start” stage.
This does not mean Skool magically builds your business for you.
You still need a clear community, a clear promise, and a clear reason people should join.
But it does mean you may not have to solve every business problem at once.
And that is very ADHD-friendly. 🙌
Because simpler usually means more doable.
-------------------------------------------------
🔴 So what does it mean for your goal of starting your own business?
For only $9/month, you can start a Skool community as a business.
That means you can have:
✅ A place to gather your people
✅ A place to post your content (think blog post, digital products, courses, etc.)
✅ A place to host your resources
✅ A place to test your ideas
✅ A place to build trust before selling
And now, with Skool’s Growth Boost system, Skool can also help bring traffic to your community through ads outside of Skool...like Meta, Instagram, Facebook, Google, etc.
-------------------------------------------------
🚀 YOUR NEXT STEPS:
1️⃣ If you want to explore starting your first Skool community, I created a FREE Skool Builder Guide for our ADHD brains inside the Classroom. Start there first.
2️⃣ And if you decide you want to try Skool, you can use my affiliate link for a free 14-day trial:
That way, you can try it before paying anything.
This is important because keeping a close eye on costs can be hard for our ADHD brains, especially when we’re excited about a new idea. 😅
✨Also, when you use my affiliate link, it supports the mission behind our community:
Reframing the global conversation toward compassion, starting with mental health and ADHD.
-------------------------------------------------
Are you in the stage of:
1. Thinking about starting a business
2. Starting but still figuring out your offer
3. Already selling but needing more traffic
4. Building a community or membership
I appreciate you. 🙏
P.S. Go to the Classroom and check out the Skool Builder Guide before you start. It will help you think through your community in a simpler, more ADHD-friendly way.
