Happy Sunday, everyone! ☀️ I just wanted to stop by and thank Lo for creating this TikTok LIVE challenge and hopefully encourage anyone who’s been thinking about going live. I’ll be honest… I didn’t complete all three Lives because I was TERRIFIED. 😂 But I did complete one, and I’m so glad I did. My goal was just 15 minutes. I even had a timer set! 😂 When the timer went off, I thanked everyone for hanging out and started wrapping up. The comments immediately started saying, “No, keep going! It’s too short!” So I stayed on for a total of 25 minutes… and they STILL said it was too short! That was my limit for the day, but I promised I’d be back the following Sunday. The funny thing is, instead of dreading it, I spent the entire week looking forward to going live again. Another unexpected benefit? Content!!! TikTok saves highlights from your Live, so now I repurpose those clips for my business and Instagram. One LIVE gives me content for multiple platforms, which has been a huge bonus. And here’s something else that surprised me… I made $5 in gifts during just 25 minutes. I wasn’t expecting anything! It may not sound like a lot, but considering I was simply sharing something I love, it was pretty exciting. It also made me think about what’s possible with consistency. As a DJ, this has been especially meaningful for me. In my local market, venues often expect DJs to play what’s popular. TikTok LIVE gives me complete freedom to play the music I genuinely love. I get to create my own lane, and the people who appreciate that vibe find me instead of me trying to fit into someone else’s. That’s probably my biggest takeaway from this challenge. Whatever your niche is, TikTok LIVE gives you a space to show up as yourself and attract your people.
