Front Aerial Rotation slow?
I have a few older students that are so close to their front aerials great height they have both side walkovers and one handed I have confidence they should be getting this skill but they just hang in the air I am afraid their arm swing is potentially at the wrong cadence? Anyone have any drills to help get rotation going so they are not always just putting their hands down?
Backwards Walk over help
I have a student who can so a Backwards walk over but she always stops in the bridge before going into the walk over any advice or drills to make this flow and not so stoppy starty. And any fun Drill to help pre schoolers get the bridge xxxx
Side Aerial help
This student has been struggling with her aerials recently. She has started needing a hurdle when last year she was doing continous aerials. I think her timing is off and she is dropping her chest too soon and she has grown a lot this year so now we are seeing the lack in the timing and technique. I don't see much pop or lift from her hip. She says it feels the same as when she "was doing it well" last year, and can't feel or understand what I am saying. She says she feels like she is popping from her hip. Any drills you have found helpful to retrain timing aside from just going back in the 4 step system which we are doing.

Where do you still feel like you’re guessing?
Let’s talk honestly for a minute. What’s one part of teaching Acro where you still feel like you’re guessing more than you’d like? Not because you don’t care - but because Acro is complex and doesn’t always come with clear answers. Spotting? Progressions? Mixed levels? Something else? Drop it below 👇 (There’s no fixing here - just conversation.)
Back flexibility for teens
Hey everyone! I’ve started to notice this year that a lot of my older dancers have tight lower backs and stiff shoulders, to the point where they avoid bridges. We do back warm-ups, back strengthening, and core work, but they often resist warming up their backs because they say it hurts yet they’re totally fine going across the floor and doing skills like front/back walkovers. I was wondering if anyone has favourite drills, stretches, or progressions for older dancers with tighter backs and shoulders? Does anyone have go-to drills or stretches for limited back/shoulder flexibility? I’d love any tips or ideas you’ve found helpful thank you!
