The power of Active Listening
Active Listening Ever felt like someone was just waiting for their turn to speak instead of actually hearing you? In coaching, we do the opposite. We practice Active Listening. Active listening isn’t just about being quiet; it’s about being fully present to understand the person behind the words. Here are 3 ways to level up your listening today: 1. Listen to Understand, Not to Fix: Resist the urge to jump in with advice. Sometimes, a well-timed silence is more powerful than any solution you can offer. 2. Become a "Human Trampoline": Instead of shutting ideas down, bounce them back. Use phrases like, "What I’m hearing is..." or "Tell me more about that". 3. Watch for the "Unsaid": Pay attention to tone and body language. Often, the most important information isn't in the words—it's in the energy. 💡 The Result? When people feel truly heard, they become more creative, more committed, and more open to transformation. Challenge: In your next meeting, try to ask one more question before giving your opinion.
