Honest parenting moment… 😅
What’s the most random question your child has asked you this week? Or What’s something you’ve said this week that sounds completely unhinged out of context? I’ll start: “Did you just lick that window?!" 😂 Drop yours below 👇

@Ellie Hayes Hmmmm, good question! My children are grown, but I can use my 8 year old students. When a student began to explain the huge dramatic event of a peer “looking at her wrong” I gave the weirdest advice……. “Don’t marry him!” She laughed, and the drama fizzled! Yay!
An absorbing activity for you and your child
Hello, I have taught latch hook crochet to adults, to children in school and at the moment to my local Saturday class. I would love to reach more children online. Beginners can learn new fun projects using a latch hook instead of a traditional hook. I teach new easy methods which are not usually learned in traditional crochet. We begin with easy bracelets, flowers and headbands, things children can wear. First projects include baskets, bags, pots, bugs and easy bags. Please comment if you would like to know more about Crochet Art and Cordcrochet.

@Roslyn Hill yup, I’m ready to learn! What type of yarn do I need to get?
Something has shifted ✨
it could be a combination of a few things that have contributed to my son seeming more calm & grounded lately: - his dad and i communicating a little better 🙉 - me finally cleaning the house 😅 - my inner work on my nervous system 🩵 - tapping back into my micro-dosing practice 🍄 i'm feeling very grounded & happy currently with how things are feeling and posting this to share my gratitude & inspiration 💚🐣✨

🐣 Easter Small World Play (that actually lasted)
I set this up every year. The first time I set it up i thought it might get a day or two of interest.... It stayed on the table for two weeks. They came and went, dipped in and out — and every time they came back to it, something new happened. Sometimes it was sorting chicks into nests Sometimes hiding eggs Sometimes full-on little stories with the bunnies And that’s why I love setups like this 👇 • No pressure to “finish” anything • No right or wrong way to play • It meets them wherever they’re at Some days it was calm and focused Some days it was messy and busy But it kept pulling them back in And underneath all of that… they’re regulating without even realising it Hands busy Brain engaged Body settling Simple setup: Fake grass + nests + chicks/bunnies + eggs + feathers Leave it out. Let it evolve. That’s where the magic is 🌱

@Ellie Hayes Love your ideas!
🎯 5 Day Challenge! Day 1: Pause
Today, notice one moment where your child does something that usually gets labelled quickly. Instead of jumping straight to: “They’re being difficult” “They’re not listening” “They’re doing it on purpose” Pause and ask yourself: What might be going on underneath this? Tired? Overwhelmed? Disconnected? Unsure? Needing support before they can cope? You do not need to fix anything today. Just notice. Just get curious. Just practice looking one layer deeper. If you want to, come back and share: What changed when you paused before reacting? 🌱

@Ellie Hayes Love this idea! My children are grown and on their own, but I relate your amazing challenges towards my 3rd grade students! Thanks for all you do!
