Fading Summer
As the terror that is winter begins to creep on our wonderful side of Florida, we took our kids and headed to the Florida keys. It’s been a great time- and this time the trip was entirely planned using AI! Very little corrections were needed. I would highly recommend Claude, 360, or ChatGPT to serve as a travel planner on your next trip. Just be demanding and correct it when it seems to forget your previous outline. The picture was with my youngest and her two babies (hophop and hops) while watching the sea lion show at theatre of the sea! Anyway, today I was wearing some zenni prescription aviators, a banana and public linen short sleeve, some fantastic brooks brothers Friday shorts, my go to docksiders for beach wear, and of course my omega worldtimer.

@Jeff Wilkinson the prices are worse than I remember and the driving along us1 is still a pain, but it’s worth it when I can embrace my inner beach bum.
The Smell of Leather
Gentlemen, say hello to my new waist wrangler: the White Heritage Buckskin belt by Tyler Shupe Leathers, stitched so pretty it makes my old belts look like they were held together with prayers and duct tape. One loop around the hips and suddenly I’m walking like John Wayne with a trust fund—sorry jeans, you’ve been officially upgraded from “holding it together” to “bringing the thunder.” 🤠🐄

That’s awesome. I’ve seen more and more folks sporting western belts. It’s loud but very cool on someone that can pull it off. Congrats!!

My youngest had straight As this quarter. Decided to try something a little more dressy. The second picture reminds me of the constant battle of the bulge but also just how much I envy those with proper necks! Isai jacket and shirt, Gentlemen’s gazette tie, Unseen items: Brooks brothers trousers, Allen Edmond’s chukkas, and of course My Breguet on the wrist.

Brooks Brother 6" Casual Friday Shorts
I live in Florida and so am always looking for a comfortable pair of shorts that don't look like some sort of street wear/rap outfit on my short 29" trouser inseam length. I picked up a pair awhile ago and have sine picked up several more. Any other thoughts on casual shorts with a bit shorter inseam but are still well made and a bit heavier? @Michael McDonnell Yea, these guys are tall and thin, they could pull off a 9" inseam I bet. But to us short fellas the 9" just looks like some sort of throwback to the 90s.

@Christopher Moore Those look decent!
Minimal Accessories — Just a Watch and a Ring?
I usually go everywhere with just my engagement ring and a watch — nothing else. Feels clean and timeless for me, whether it’s casual or formal. I switch between three watches depending on the outfit: - Light brown leather strap with a black case and dial - All-steel diver with black bezel and dial - Black rubber watch with white numerals My ring always stays the same (black and silver mix) — I got it to match the watches I wear most. What do you guys think about that kind of minimal setup? Just a watch and ring for all occasions — does it feel balanced, or too simple?

Minimal is fine and fits with most - myself included. When it comes to watches though I think the only thing that really matters is the strap/bracelet. The dials are usually so small as to not really stand out too much.

@Abdelrahman Dwedar That's true, divers bezels do show up more - they're on the outside/sitting on top of the watch. Even then, I find that they really don't stand out too much unless you're talking about big watches. I think my Planet Oceans stand out a bit, but even the SMP300m wasn't such a big deal.
