I've sent some DMs to a prospect, introduced myself, and offered him working for free as a (training) for me and value for him and the prospect isn't big at all he has 5k on his ig but he works really hard on his content he left me on seen unfortunately my question is : did I mess up offering a free work or is it a good start to build a social proof?

I've done some copies in the recent month but I think I'm losing the motivation to continue working. It started when I tried to do a sales page for the first time but It didn't end like I was expecting. It was bad, then I started thinking that if I can't do anything more than emails my chances to land a client would be way down. How do you think I can improve my sales pages ? And do you think I can start outreaching with a protfolio that doesn't have sales pages or funnels ?
