Goal Update + Looking for Some Advice
Hello everyone :) I just want to share my goal and some challenges I'm facing. I hope it'll be easier to achieve the goal if I put it out here! My goal is to finally get a muscle-up by the end of January or February. I’m progressing slowly, but I hope I’ll have enough time to get there! 💪 I also wanted to share something personal that might help someone else reach their goals faster and safer. Around late spring, I started feeling more fatigued during workouts(mainly during the intervals with cardio). I was training more often, but instead of improving, my performance slightly dropped, or it definitely wasn’t getting any better - this was just my observation, and I thought I was just a person who is progressing slowly, so it's ok. I also donate blood every ~60 days, and at some point, I noticed my hemoglobin kept getting lower, and it got very low. After a blood test, I found out my iron levels(also D3) were extremely low (about 4x below the normal range) - likely a mix of frequent training, blood donations, and not the best nutrition, which is very likely the main reason for slow progress and fatigue. So now I'm recovering, keeping up with daily classes, and learning more about nutrition and supplements. @Adam Phomin - I know your diet is very natural, and you probably don't rely much on vitamins, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on supporting the body naturally (or with vitamins) during recovery like this.

@Neil Abbott thanks for sharing this! That really makes sense. I've also been doing intermittent fasting since January (no food between 3 PM and 8 AM), and it's helped a lot with my sleep and overall well-being(but probably also had bad impact on the level of iron since I also reduced calories/some natural red meat etc). I'm not sure I'm ready for 3-4 days without solid food yet, but I've been thinking about trying a 1-day water fast once a week or every two weeks. My only concern is balancing it with my workouts and all the 'brain work' I do daily.

@Ryan Mullan good luck with your goal! 🦾
Pistols are hard
Thoughts? hahaha Anyone's first time doing those?

When I was 12-18, I used to do pistols routinely at every training because I did track and field, it was so easy. But now, when I'm twice as heavy, it has become a real challenge for me, at CrossFit classes we do pistols from time to time, but before I started CrossFit, I hadn't done them for about 17 years :D

@Adam Phomin I did the "foot around the heel", but 6 months ago I could only manage it with a bench or bend, so I guess that's some progress hah!
Ouch
What did you think of today’s workout? Did you crash your car? The push ups really were extra hard for me today. Great work everyone!!

I had to run at about minute 18, but the workout was tough, especially after the chipper day. My arms are still really sore after that, haha
