Old Habits...get triggered.
Recently came across a couple of different scenarios that put me on my heels. Unexpected yes. Managed through those situations. Outside looking in, you probably wouldn't notice. But something shifted in me. It wasn't until recently I recognized I had picked up the habit of reacting instead of responding. Darn. That old thing again. And by that old thing again, I don't mean necessarily the react vs. respond but how quickly I can revert back to old habits from my survival days without recognizing it. Some of those reflexes kick hard. I do check in with myself. I do my best to keep my new habits. It is strange the old ones kick in such subtle ways sometimes it is difficult to detect that shift. There are a few situations I need to be way more proactive with. Going to focus on and update my goals. Because right now there is too much that is left to chance. Can anyone relate to any of that?

I can 🙋‍♂️ It's not so much about an old habit, but a childish way of handling certain situations that I've worked on kicking. It's not a situation I often deal with, so I haven't dealt with it as an adult but it came up a couple months ago. Quickly realized the way I would usually handle the situation is not the adult way, and am still working on that course correct.
Goals - why making them matters
I have been struggling on cashing out a couple loans. For a year. Nothing bad, making payments, but never actually just putting cash down and never having to worry about them again. I set goals about a month ago now, added them to the lock screen of my phone, and wrote them on my bedroom wall. With those two CONSTANT reminders(the average 20 yr old opens their phone over 150 times a day) I have been keeping my mind focused on the plan. Didn't spend a single unnecessary red cent, seeked out more clients, and didn't drive more than needed. With that, I would like to announce that with the discipline that has helped me develop, I am NOW DEBT FREE!!! Paid off all my debts, fully moved the rest of my equipment onto my own land, and now I only owe gratefulness to the people who helped me get here. THAT is the power of setting goals, reminding yourself of them multiple times a day, and you stick to them. p.s. I'm getting a new starry night headliner for my work truck as a reward for this goal. (Will post pictures when installed) p.p.s. How do you guys set goal rewards that aren't monetary? Most of my goals at this stage of my life are about building a foundation, financially and physically, and spending money as a reward seems counter intuitive.
Goals - why making them matters
My goal.
My goal this week is to have the probably 7th draft of my 12 goals done by Friday, Oct 24th. My reward for such accomplishment will be either an outing with friends or a nice date. I've set them so many times, but never used them properly. In that, I intend to view them three times a day, which leads to my question for my peers this week. Which CSP videos and advice helped you build routines best? I struggle particularly with being a variable 20yr old bachelor and the freedom to be whither I want and to sleep whither I park at the end of the day. Most days when I'm home I have a good routine of brekkist, quiet time, and organizing, but on the road that routine goes out the window as I handle whatever business throws at me.

@Nicole Mathey agh, you're right. Two options. I think the 2nd one will be easier to manage, and keep it simple. Goals, 3x times daily, quiet time 6/7 days, and affirmations 6/7 days(which I need to watch that video again and implement). Making up my mind to start small and reasonable, and as I build these routines into the chaos I can add to the system of success.

@Nicole Mathey I met the first goal of setting goals, and did go on that nice date! I have yet to set specific rewards for those goals, but I have been reading them 2x a day, usually waking up and going to bed.
Abundance Vs Scarsity in conversation
On a road trip and started it off with the abundance vs scarcity videos. This one hit a little close to home because it's something I've stuggled with as a young business. Sometimes making the offhand comment 'just paying the bills' comes a little too easy. In that work comes further and further between. On the other hand when I think positively and with eagerness business comes fast and grows. Real life example, pulled together with Tom's lesson. Moving forward I will be redoubling my efforts to refrain from speaking ill of my financial status. My question for my peers: What can I do to reward/discipline myself to speak with abundance?
Check in time!
ROLL CALL!!!! Who reached their goals posted in the thread last week? Honestly, I did not - fell short....BUT.... I did attend a seminar last weekend to expand my knowledge......🙌🤩. Anyone else have a "WIN" they'd like to share?

My work week was a short one, but I did accomplish my 'short' goal and listened to several episodes and posted several times!
