The Contribution Loop
“You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” — Zig Ziglar Too many people enter an industry asking, "How do I extract value from this crowd?" Shift the lens. When your primary focus is helping someone else solve their bottleneck, your own growth becomes an automatic byproduct. Who is one person in your network right now who needs a specific introduction, a resource, or a second pair of eyes on their project? Tag them or describe their bottleneck below, and let's help them solve it!

Mastering the Setback

Take the Next Step
Today's quote from my book: “What’s the next step I can take with what I already know?” Doing What You Know, Chapter 10, p. 168 A lot of people spend years waiting for more information before they act. They convince themselves they need another course, another strategy, another breakthrough, or another sign before they can finally move forward. But most of the time, the issue isn’t lack of knowledge. It’s hesitation. Growth usually doesn’t happen all at once. It happens one decision at a time. One uncomfortable action. One next step. You probably already know more than enough to begin. The question is whether you’re willing to move with what you already have instead of endlessly waiting for perfect clarity. Momentum starts when you stop focusing on the entire staircase and simply take the next step in front of you.

Great quote, thanks @Ray Thigpen
Quiet consistency wins.
Most people don’t fail because they lack talent. They fail because they stop too early. One thing that’s helped me massively is realizing that growth isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s just: – showing up when you can’t be bothered – learning instead of reacting – improving 1% each day – keeping promises to yourself The people who win long-term usually aren’t the loudest in the room… they’re just the most consistent. What’s one habit that’s genuinely improved your life recently?

@Bonnie Ruby that’s great. Glad to hear you have found success in the industry! Persistence is key. Some of the biggest challenges I hear from leaders about Gen Z is impatience in their career, wanting too much work-life balance, being job hoppers, etc. When I speak with Gen Z, they think more experienced employees are resistant to change, not great with technology, etc. Although this labels aren’t necessarily true, they drive interesting discussions between the different age groups. I haven’t tried e-commerce before. When did you start your journey with it?

@Bonnie Ruby Thanks for the support, Bonnie. I definitely am learning a lot from those conversations. Glad to hear you have had such a positive experience in that industry, and have been able to enjoy the flexibility of it. Currently, I am not looking to try e-commerce at the moment, but I appreciate you sharing more about it!
