Wood Movement
Not that kind, everybody tells us about wood changing shape and size. I'm talking about picking it up and carrying it. No one talks about that, unless it's plywood. But plywood moves one sheet at muscle-straining, finger-crushing, toe-breaking time. But boards, if there is a glue up, you're moving at least two at the same time. How do you handle it? Carry one board at a time, or picking up a whole, maximum carry load?

@Rich Murphy my wood storage is up a flight of stairs. So I tend to carry as much as I safely can to minimize trips.Once it is down, then I pick up each piece. I like to get the grain going one direction before I start the milling process. Makes the work go better.

Interconnecting rabbets on the edges. Cedar fence pickets and reclaimed deck furniture. Tried to do everything wrong and then figure out how to fix it. Mini shed for on the porch.
DowelMax, Trinity Dowel Maker or Kreg Edge
I've been contemplating a DowelMax or the upcoming trinity but I have sticker shock. At these prices I'm thinking I'll hold off for the kreg edge coming out this fall. What do folks think?

@John Wilcox what new tool did you need to make the box?
Folding workbench
Made this to use a part of the garage. Used an h frame for the folding legs. Now looking at how to lock them folded. Found some strong magnets on Amazon and gonna give it a shot. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Put a strip of wood over the magnets. 1/16" - 1/8" will still hold, but not let the magnets grab. From my new book, "101 Ways to Use Scraps". I have no plans to publish it.

What if You Don't Have a Table Saw?
It's easy in the woodworking community to think of pretty much everything in terms of what we can do with a table saw. But what if you don't have one? I did woodworking for years without one, mostly because I didn't have the money to invest in a table saw. Well, the good news is, you can do just about anything with a circular saw and a few jigs, that you can do with a table saw. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_m1A3Np01A

I just can't get repeatability with a circular saw even with a straight cut jig. Need a truly flat work surface. Never have managed to peel 1/8 strips with a circular saw. Not an issue with the table. The table/fence is just a jig that someone else cut out of metal so I could cut wood.
