First ebook - What's your perfect word count?
Hi All, I have a moderate amount of content from past experience and my journey thus far but I want to pull and extract relevant content into one cohesive e-book to explain where I was and where I am now as an initial offering to build trust with prospective clients. My question to you all is: What is the length of your perfect read? I want it to remain engaging but leave enough intrigue to stay engaged. I love reading but if you put Lord of the Rings in front of me I would feel overwhelmed and probably not start or quit in the first quarter. So all opinions welcome - perfect word count of an initial e-book..... Thanks in advance 🙂

@Tracy Stewart Of course. I am a qualified Nurse with 14 years experience but I am also a self confessed whistle blower. Now that sounds scary but that is because I take my Nursing oath as seriously as I take life itself and will protect the physical and mental health of my patients at all cost irrespective of the consequence. Speaking out has resulted in working through some very difficult professional situations but they have always ironically resulted in promotion or new more prestigious opportunities. I coach and assist fellow health care professionals burned out by the system to navigate the very traumatic institutional abuse faced at the hands of both public and private organisations and come out the other side in a better place. As my niche is quite niche I would like this first ebook to be a snapshot of some of my trials and tribulations to try and attract others in similar circumstances to reach out as it is a very private journey they may be on. I want to be the me I needed when I was experiencing some of what I have been through. Hope that makes sense? Look forward to any feedback you may have :)

@Tracy Stewart Hi Tracey..... would love to her your thoughts - hope you've had a good day :)
Let's talk openly about it...
I know it's a big discussion, but where does coaching stop and therapy starts within the sessions??? I've personally studied psychology, but I've also been a coach since the beginning of my professional path, and I know that I struggled so much in balancing those two aspects of my life, especially in the beginning having to do the strict psychological ethical frames in my job. Fortunately, I'm registered as an integrative-holistic therapist, and I always discuss with my clients about those two combined aspects in my sessions, with honesty and applying only after consent. But still, I would really like to hear those who already have a psychology background in this community.

This is such a relevant question and I am sharing my opinion but my opinion only. As a qualified Nurse conversations can often lead to 'medical diagnosis, opinion or recommended treatments.' I always and I mean always ask my client their level of concern surrounding that particular issue and what they would advise someone else to do in that circumstance (easier because I only coach other trained Nurses or health care professionals). This then opens a discussion as to what are the barriers they are facing preventing them from fundamentally following they're own advice. There are many instances that I could put my Nurse hat on and recommend or refer but that is not my role as a coach so I steer well clear of any interaction that could be perceived as 'treatment.' I am here to facilitate growth not create it. This might be controversial but I am very much looking forward to hearing all of your opinions. Especially those of you that have previous clinical professional qualifications......
Tasking?
I've seen quite a few posts from members stating that they've unlocked the course so quickly but from what I see from the tasks, some require practice to be put in with clients. Am I correct to presume that members are going through the content with the intention of then going back through to complete the practical tasks? 🙂👍

Hi Steve, I am very new too but have unlocked almost half of the course so far purely by accident because the community has got me hooked and I have really enjoyed collaborating with many like minded people. I have tamed myself however and am working through the content methodically at my own pace because I don't want to miss anything. I also don't want to get to the end of the course content opened and realise I haven't engaged and therefore have to do loads of legwork to unlock the next one. Plus I think that methods may mean you miss some vital connections along the way. I think this platform is about balance. Would love to hear your progress moving forward....

@Steve Palmer Have you tried a speech to text app? If I have been on the keyboard all day but still need to write I just speak and watch it get typed for me. I'm not going to lie though you will need to edit it LOL! You could talk and watch your spoken word become text whilst you massage your fingers and look after yourself so that you can continue to help others!
Setting up a business..
Struggling to prioritise the immense list of things to do... Legal stuff, social stuff, practical stuff. For all of you that are well established, what do you wish you had done differently when starting out (from a business point of view).. (or any other advice you can offer) 😊

@Danielle Valens Oh Danielle you have no idea how much this resonates with me. My Mum still mocks me as when I was growing up I'd spend hours on end creating the cover page for a project and the content of the project would end up being less than a page long!!!! I have set up several businesses in my lifetime and repeated that exact behaviour again! Logo's, fancy business cards, indulgent and expensive furnishings that no one ever noticed. I have finally learnt for this venture and am concentrating on the client attraction first and foremost (I do have a friend working on a logo for me though - mates rates - ssshhhhhh don't tell anyone LOL!)
Exciting news...
These are on their way! Huge congratulations @Carrie Branovan @Anda Senberga @Sue Cullen @Leila Le @Vickie Ireland @Priscilla Mugo @Nelson Montoisy @Alfonzo Anderson @Bill Ringle @Daniel Vazquez Ramos @Serg Rodriguez Who's next to join them?
