Hi fellow students, this is my very first insight post which I'm bravely sharing
Section 2 of my Snapshot just hit different. I realised I stopped having dreams on purpose - because if I never wanted anything, I couldn't fail at it and prove my mum right when she said the only thing I was consistent at was being inconsistent. 61 years of protecting myself from a sentence. Naming that out loud changes something.

Wow Tracey. That’s a big one! Our parents’ words can impact our picture of ourselves for a long time.
Full Report - MAJORE Realization!
Just got my Full Report - and I could sum it up with one the realization of what was behind one line I wrote: "It's not that I can't get on the computer. It's that I can't get up to go to the computer. It's the step before that I'm having a hard time with." For the first time, someone named the EXACT place where the wall lives in my brain. Not laziness. Not procrastination. The step BEFORE the step. I've been blamed for that gap my whole life. Today I FINALLY have words for it!

Wow! That’s an awesome insight for you! 👏
Day 1 done - yay!
Biggest insight (from Awakening Assessment): “Your anger isn’t really about losing your phone and keys. It’s about a lifetime of watching your brilliance get overshadowed by the same small frustrations again and again.” My open loop is: ordering a replacement headrest for my hot tub.
How old were you when…
I’m curious how old you were when you were diagnosed. I was in my 50s.

Just diagnosed last year at age 65!!
My snapshot learning
Just got my ADHD Snapshot and one line stopped me cold: the compassion I gave my 35-year-old self in a letter is the same compassion I've been withholding from myself today. I went back to hug her. Turns out she's been trying to hug me back this whole time. Showing up for Day 1. Counters and all.
