Heavy but honest
📅 Daily Check-in - September 2, 2026 💭 Reflection: "Yesterday was another heavy day with Dad. As if I would expect anything less nowadays. I tried to think of something more upbeat to talk about in my reflection but it's not coming to me right now. We finally got to talk to someone at Hospice that actually stopped and listened truly to what we were saying. So yes, we now definitely have the doctor coming to us tomorrow (Thursday). They've put him on a heavy steroid to take some of the inflammation down. He had a half dose steroid last night and even then, he was up 4 times before 12:30am and then hourly after that. Today (Wednesday) he goes onto a full dose of steroid. Fingers crossed it helps him. It tears me apart watching him suffer like that. So while dealing with everything with Dad, I had also been corresponding with my brother. My sister-in-law is a school teacher and she collapsed at school yesterday and the ambulance was called. They've been running loads of tests and have kept her in hospital until they found out what's going on. She has a severe headache that isn't going away. Fingers crossed it's treatable! I also had a quick word with my eldest to say that I know he can hear grandad at night, I know it's keeping him awake (his bedroom is next door). I just wanted him to know that I know. Anyway while I was up this morning, I took the opportunity to jump into the Day 2 live - full on session and very enjoyable! Happy Wednesday everyone from NZ!" 📊 Wellbeing Scores: 😊 Happiness: 4/10 ⚡ Energy: 5/10 😌 Calmness: 4/10 🌙 Sleep Quality: 4/10 ⭐ Average: 4.3/10 ✅ Activities from yesterday: 💧 Stayed Hydrated 🥗 Healthy Eating 🍺 No Alcohol 🥩 Hit Protein Goal 🥦 Ate Vegetables 🍳 Home Cooked Meal 👥 Quality Time 🤝 Helped Someone 👂 Active Listening

Day Two - The Masks I Wear
The mask I wear most often is the class clown. The cost to me has been to avoid confrontation and leave a lot of things with no conclusion. As a kid, I loved reading comic books and science fiction books.

Day 2 homework?
I had to leave the call yesterday (day 2), and I just wondered what the homework was around masking? Was it simply to establish your masking patterns?

Go the the classroom tab on the main SKOOL ADHD Harmony page and find day 2. The instructions are there. Hope that helps.
Day 2 Done!
The mask I’ve been wearing most: The good, responsible, and quiet one — the person who tries to keep everyone happy, avoid upsetting others, and handle everything herself. How exhausting it’s been: It wasn’t exhaustingو because I didn’t realize I was wearing a mask. It was simply the way I learned to be. But as I grew older and became more aware of myself, and the pattern continued, I started questioning it: Why do I do this? Why do I feel like I have to do everything? Why is it so difficult for me to say no, ask for help, or simply rest? Why do I feel responsible for everything and everyone? Why I am exhausted and overwhelmed. What I loved as a kid (before the masks): I loved playing teacher, playing with dolls, and playing with my sister.
