Oh geez, they all go together. If I had to pick: breathing, leverage, timing.

Please accept my apology @James Driskill I guess I turned off access on my phone for my mic. Operator error on my part. 🤦🏼‍♀️ It’s what I get for signing on before I was fully awake 🥴. Thank you for posting the video. All the information is greatly appreciated.🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Lucid dream training
When I was competing a lot I spent a couple years learning to lucid dream predictably. There are techniques and practices for this. One of which is keeping a dream journal. I noticed that in a lot of my dreams I would see multiple moons in the night sky. My goal was to realize it’s a dream and start to control the dream so it become a training session. I wanted to get in more training than my opponents and I knew they were all training all day but not all night. I would notice the dream, look down and see my gi, look over and see my partner, and then start training. Unfortunately for me, every time I got control of the dream I would look and see my gi in my hand, drop the gi on the floor, and then take flight. My inner child controlled the dream most often and he just wanted to fly around. Rarely did I ever get any extra training in but it was still a fun experiment. Have you tried any strange or unique ways to get an edge in training?

When I do my Transcendental meditation during the day I will lucid dream at night. It is awesome. I am able to direct myself where I want to go but I am unable to do everything I want. Example: I will realize I’m dreaming and direct myself into a store but I can’t try on the clothes. lol it’s a real bummer. I never talk about lucid dreaming because a lot of people are close-minded and look at me like I’m weird. Then again, I may be a little weird. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤪

@James Driskill Actually you inspired me to meditate today 🧘🏼‍♀️ so hopefully I will be able to do jiujitsu in my dreams.
Testimonials
If you have had a class with me or you’ve learned something from me that helped you, I would be grateful to hear about your experience. Doesn’t have to be long. What did you like about what you learned and how did it benefit you? What was your experience like? I would also love to hear about anything that I could do better. Thank you, it means a lot if you take the time. I know you are all busy. ❤️

First of all, I am grateful to have received my purple belt from you. I could go on and on about the insane amount of knowledge you have taught me since I literally have 4 note books full, but I will save us all some time and just go into the most notable. You taught me to get curious about the WHY behind moves which made jiujitsu more understandable in a conceptual way. It changed my learning from “this hand goes here” to “what is the intended outcome”. This way of thinking helps me troubleshoot and be creative if/when things don’t go as planned. It also reminds me there are multiple paths to the same outcome. Another important thing you taught me is to celebrate small wins. A win can be me causing the slightest shift in my opponents balance or a denial of any kind. That is a WIN! As a smaller person in the gym this is extremely important for my mental health in this sport. Yes, you also taught me strong fundamentals like base, connection, pressure, kazushi/off balancing, the importance of staying calm, breathing, not over exerting myself and patiently working the problem (always checking for any open doors). Full disclosure, I am still working on all of the above. I am grateful you and your wife moved to my small town for a few years. Also thank you for providing the question & answer video sessions. The information is absolute gold.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
