I spoke to Joey at Westinghouse today about doing the week of testing and he said that they may end up starting early in June because they have a lot of people in the queue this year. So they’re potentially doing June, July, and August. I asked him if it was going to be hard to place that many people in the fall if they all passed and were jr RP at the same time and he said that they usually have a 50-75 person attrition rate due to the RPs taking permanent positions either with the plants they’re working at or with the Department of Energy, so he wasn’t worried at all. This was something that I’ve been worried about so just thought I’d share in case anyone else was feeling the same as me.

Turkey Point in Homestead, FL. I now have multiple stays for this plants outage that will give grid members a discount on their stay that saves 60% of per diem for this plant. If shared with another as they can house two per stay, grid members will save 75% of per diem. Will be posting the stays officially soon! Wanted to share the good news early- currently the weekend before work starts and with family at Disney World.

While Joey was the first recruiter I spoke with, I haven't been able to reach him again. I was able to speak with Tricia on her direct line multiple times in the past few weeks and received the offer letter today. Thanks to her I will be working Brunswick and McGuire back to back around the start of Feb as decon, hopefully working my way towards Jr. RP Tech. Yes, keep calling the recruiters, they're crazy busy and it can take a large amount of calls (I called multiple times a day) but thank them for taking your call when they get a chance to do so. @Michael Williams thanks for getting me started on this new chapter in my life, this all started when I read your reddit post a while ago.

Spotted this outage schedule on the D&Z website: https://www.dayzimopenshop.com/outage-schedule Talking with their recruiter today & they recommended applying on their website to establish interest in working the fall outages. Still looking into how to go about that on their site.
