A Radical Language Learning Suggestion
- Learn to say the thing you just said. - Grammar is circular, not linear. - "Slow Bach is still Bach." - "Slow is smooth, smooth is fast." - Don't memorize words. Play the language by pushing the buttons. - Develope your Routine - Only learn true things. - Phase 1: Notebook - Phase 2: OPI - Phase 3: Real Life - Reflex, not Recall.

@Tony Marsh Qué vamos a ver mientras desayunamos?

@Tony Marsh I had in mind when I said, "Por qué vamos a ver Gunsmoke mientras desayunamos? was my response would be the statement, "porque es un ritual." thus it would start a new conversation to continue on, but I I didn't think of qué until you pointed it out.

I’m going to try to make this one. Even though I’ve completed the 20‑Day course, I’m sure it will be a great refresher and still really helpful. Plus, will give me some exposure and practice with zoom as am not all that familiar with the program. 😁

@Tony Marsh Am looking forward to it.
Choosing a Topic
I saw a post in the group earlier today about which topic someone should write about when practicing. This hit me the other day while I was doing laundry. I realized I didn't have the verbs/vocab to discuss doing the laundry in Spanish. Laundry became my topic. Now, I can discuss laundry (OPI-style) and I picked up some new vocabulary as a positive side effect. How do you find your topics?

How to 'Solve' for Verb vs. 'Solve' for Topic
This video is a response to a very good question, which is essentially: "I like the idea of practicing asking and answering questions, but what if I really want to practice a specific verb tense?" We'll use this 5 point wheel concept to talk about how to 'Solve for Topic', and how to 'Solve for Verb'. I hope you enjoy (12 minute watch). For a close-up on the notebook, scroll to the right of the video.
