EQ- The struggle is real!
I really struggle with hearing frequencies and knowing what to cut and boost! I'm doing the music Prod 101 currently the EQ assignment where they messed up the EQ and you have to sweep around and fix the mix. I can't for the life of me find this stupid almost tonal blip sound in the drums and it's infuriating! Short of throwing my computer through the wall I figured I'd reach out for help! How do you locate problem frequencies? How do you know they are problems? Does looking at the analyzer help figure it out? Should I be using that for clues? How do you hear bass frequencies? Sometimes I can't make out the kick drum any tips on low end? I have Quiztones and I'm doing daily EQ training that ho[pefull will help down the road. But in the meantime!!!

Looking for a reverb plugin with good control over ER
Any suggestions? I really need a reverb that gives possibilities to tweak early reflections, without tail.

@Ari Tiainen I see the early reflecitons are the ones that show the room depth
More Changes to come

This reminds me of when Myspace came about. It as such a "great" thing for independent musicians who could finally get their music out to the masses. Except what happened was "great" music was deemed as music with a lot of views, and people started finding cheat codes they could hack Myspace with to gain millions of followers. "mediocre" artist with "great" marketing schemes seemed to dominate the digital space and music became less about what sounded good and instead a popularity contest. Music is in a weird space

🎤 SINGER CHECK BE HONEST
Every singer has that one thing we secretly do… Some of us warm up for 30 minutes like professionals…Some say my voice is tired today but still attempt high notes Some record 40 takes and somehow choose take #3…Some turn every song into harmony without permission And some of us are full concert performers… only in the shower But let’s talk real singer life… Are you the studio perfectionist, the stage energy machine, the emotional storyteller, the car concert superstar, or the family-forced singer anytime people say sing something for us ? As singers, we know it’s not only about technique sometimes it’s confidence, sometimes emotion, sometimes practice… and sometimes just surviving voice cracks at the wrong moment So tell me quickly which singer are YOU? describe yourself!

I never have plan and just go with where the recording or performance takes me. If you asked me to sing the same thing twice I usually create a 3rd option. I only recently have considered vocal warm ups as a thing serious musicians do! I haven't tried it yet! 🤷‍♂️
Listen to my depth test and give your opinion, please
Guys, I've been experimenting with reverb and how to create depth in a mix. The clip is 16 bars @ 90bpm. It alternates between two different settings: Setting A: bars 1-4 & 9-12 Setting B: bars 5-8 & 13-16 Can you hear any difference between the two settings and how do you like them? Which one is better and why? Please note that this is not a mix but a set of raw tracks I quickly put together for this test. No EQ or anything, just some panning. The only plugin used is a room reverb, ERs without tails, just predelay. Thanks for your help!

I'm new to reverb and I'm struggling to identify a difference. I feel like In B maybe I sense the guitar presence a bit more. But I could be chasing ghosts trying to figure it out. Not sure what pre-delay is. Haven;t got to this section yet!!
