I cannot create a new ads campaign
After everything is set and I click “Launch campaign,” the page scrolls to the top, no error messages are shown, but it’s impossible to save the campaign. Is it only my issue, or has somebody experienced the same today? Also, two books unexpectedly got the status "Live. With unpublished changes," even though I never requested any changes. There were no messages from Amazon about it. I'd like to understand whether this is a widespread issue before I contact support.

Ads set-up worked fine Thursday night in DE market.
Gems from my toolbox: booming clusters with almost no reviews - Week 30, 2026
Finally Choose Yourself: median BSR 15,210; median review count: 6. My KDP toolbox generates many more gems than I could humanly use. After weeks of thought, I decided it would be irresponsible to keep them to myself. It is not the "cherry-picking" so popular in a lot of YouTube videos: "Look, this book sells thousands of copies a day. It's so easy to make a similar book," with information about thousands of similar books that never had even one sale conveniently left untold. I will do the opposite, showing you clusters of books with very high BSR and review counts close to zero. And I will give you the words that are linked to the cluster - the first three words of this message. I started to use this technique to find good anomalies on Amazon about a month ago, and the first book I published as a result has a BSR steadily around 30,000 with zero reviews. ----- And now, the books (the links are affiliate, and yes, I know there is a low chance any of you will purchase them): I Owed Myself This: 100 Sessions to Finally Choose Yourself Without Guilt and Stop Tolerating Less Than You Deserve Loyal to Me: 110 truths to stop tolerating what drains you and finally choose yourself without guilt PEOPLE SKILLS: Master People, Master Conversations, and Master Yourself What do you think about this format? Would you like to have it in the future?

Interesting. Low reviews/ratings, BSR 8k-10k, max. 2 month old Lots of opportunities when using an approach like this. Did this manually in my niche with Publisher Rocket when it still returned more than 10 results (now limited in international markets due to API issue).
Algorithms have changed. And it's good.
I have been watching Sara's videos for more than five years. The girl has been in the POD business since the CafePress times (if you know what I am talking about). She has seen a lot. Yes, she is oversimplifying a lot, but she has lived through many trends, and she understands them. Why this video is important, in my opinion: we must understand that algorithms have become really individualistic. There is no need to hit a massive trend to have massive sales; algorithms can select thousands and tens of thousands of customers for us one by one. The paradigm has really shifted, and we need to embrace it. Create your book with the exact audience in mind and make your book the best for that exact audience. This will give you a good chance to be found and supported by the algorithms. ----- I do not know why, but the clip cannot be added as a video. You can click the link: https://youtu.be/9iP588aMFBc

If you focus on a business guide like how to become a DD, than I would go for the last one. If the book is more checklist oriented and also offers help (psychological) for the DD, I would choose the first one.
Book cover testing
Finally got to creating my book cover. My first attempts where shot down dramatically, by my own daughter (designer) and my stepdaughter (artist). 😆 Of course I didn’t believe them at first, but then I found out that the critics' report from https://www.diybookcovers.com/ completely agreed with their opinions. Learnt a lesson (or two). ☺️ The picture is mine (Wat Arun temple in Bangkok). I have created it in Canva. Dimensions are as stipulated by Amazon KDP: 1600 width and 2560 height. I've run it through the website above several times and refined it with Gemini; this is version 9.b. 😗 Second pic shows the progression from really bad to where it is now. Feedback welcome.🙏

@Latte Motte They (daughters) both have to get it right, otherwise your will not be happy. I always compose my covers in Powerpoint. Old School, but I don't get into isssues as @Igor O pointed out when ai generated the text. Planned title for the book? Help, I live in Tailand Planned subtitle: An insiders look at living and working in Thailand What I woud do: 1) decrease the author name and don't use the word "by" 2) Work on the title: The word HELP is dominant, so reduce it in size. The topic of the book is "I live in Thailand", so the word Thailand should be the biggest and "I live" used as a kind of bridge between Help and Thailand. Make Thailand the largest word on the cover (larger than the Help). Subtitle is too long and repeats the word Thailand. Change it to something like "An Insider's Guide to Living and Working in Thailand". This is short and gives enough information about the content of the book. The cover could look like the attached.

Also think about your Author name. Are you know as Erwin or as Latte. Which name is more recognized and which fits the book best? Maybe use Erwin on the cover, but inside you switch to Latte (in n explained way).

Still kind of beginner, even though I started in 2020. Just celebrating my 5th anniversary on KDP. Aiming for treating this more like a business. 8311
