Caregivers Connect: Tips, Help, Community
“Are you a caregiver? 💛 I’m creating a space where caregivers can connect, share tips, tricks, and support—and offer compassion and understanding to one another. Together, we can build a community where every story, insight, and piece of advice helps someone feel less alone on this journey. I’ve also started a Facebook community where I share my own caregiver story and invite others to share theirs. Your experience matters, and your voice can make a difference.”

I dont know why I got choked up reading this post. Ì am definitely going to check out your Facebook community. I feel that I can be a good cheerleader for others, and there are many times that I could use one myself!!! Im grateful to have found you all...
Caregivers need to be cared for too.
Do you know someone who is a caregiver? 💛 Or maybe you’re a caregiver yourself? Caregiving can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be exhausting and emotionally heavy. How do caregivers recharge, refill their energy, and care for themselves while caring for others? Share your tips, routines, or little self-care moments—let’s support those who give so much of themselves every day.

I am a caregiver. When I start feeling overwhelmed, I use a little stress-saving ritual on myself. I place my fingers at my temples and gently smooth behind my ears, down my neck, and across my shoulders to calm my fight-or-flight response. Then I rest my fingertips on my forehead, just above my eyebrows, and breathe for a minute until the tension softens and my mind clears. I finish by running my hand from the lower belly area straight up the center of my body to my lip—almost like zipping up an invisible shield—to help myself feel protected, grounded, and ready to face whatever comes next. Then, I put on some good music, think a happy thought, and I smile. This always works. Although, at around 6 in the evening, I will need a serious reboot!!!
