Poll of the Week!
Alight everybody - how much of a warm-up do you really do before a round? Are you the first-on-the-range type, or more of a show up 5 minutes before your tee time kind of golfer? I’ll be posting my full gym warm-up routine soon—keep an eye out!

I purposefully try do all three periodically so I’m less uncomfortable regardless of the situation that day. For rounds that matter the most, like Golf Farm Winter League, it’s a 10-15 min dynamic warmup followed by a 10-15 ball warmup. I finish up with a handful of putts from 10, 20, & 30 ft before heading to the 1st tee. That seems to be my happy medium. Ironically, I don’t really see a strong correlation (anecdotally) between warmup type and score for me. Some of my best rounds have been rushing to the 1st tee and some of my worst followed a stripe show at the range. 🤪
Poll of the Week!
Alright everyone time for another Wednesday poll! When your round starts going sideways, what helps you get back on track?

Especially when the wheels are falling off, I focus on my routine and try to go into non-judgmental autopilot once I step into the think box. As a high handicapper I accept that my game goes sideways more often than it goes according to plan and recognize that there’s enough variability in my mechanics from swing to swing that “sideways” is a reasonable outcome for any shot…. Even what feels like a “good swing” can go awry. Fixing my swing mid round is often a wild goose chase for me and too often results in spiraling frustration. My routine is one of the things I have some control over so I rely on that to keep me grounded. Does that get my game back on track? Heck no! But it certainly doesn’t get much worse and I’m at least comforted in that I’m doing “something right” that day! Now, excuse me while I go shoot 95 from the white tees. 🤣

@Carson Barry So true! I have also noticed that when a round feels like it is spiraling out of control if I ignore the “bad holes” and focus on routine and attitude moving forward the end result is usually much less tragic than I imagined it would be.
Drills + Wedge Competition of the Week!
Thanks to everyone who voted on what new content we should make. We will get to work on filming some more drills for you guys, especially ones we can do in The Golf Farm this winter. For starters here's a drill we can all do this week! 🏆 Weekly Challenge: “Up & Down 10” – 50 to 80 Yards Edition Goal: Test your wedge precision and putting under pressure How It Works: 1️⃣ Wedge Challenge - Hit 10 wedge shots between 50 and 80 yards. - Randomize each distance — you can use TrackMan Test Center or write 10 random yardages (e.g., 52, 60, 65, 71, 79, etc.). - Focus on carry distance and landing proximity. Scoring: - Inside 10 ft → 2 points - 10–20 ft → 1 point - Outside 20 ft → 0 points 2️⃣ Putting Challenge - After each wedge, simulate the putt for that shot. - You can pace off or measure approximate putting distances. Scoring: - Make the putt → +1 point 3️⃣ Total Score - Maximum: 30 points (10 wedges × 3 points possible each) ⬇️ Comment how many points you score and we will give away some Golf Farm swag to this weeks winner of the wedge challenge!

I use GSPro and wasn’t able to exactly replicate the drill’s scenario and data requirements but still wanted to join in on the fun. Landing proximity doesn’t stay on my screen long enough for me to recognize and record it so I had to go with total proximity. For anyone interested in the setup: Flushing Meadows Pitch & Putt has 10 holes between 49 and 84 yards. I used a 2 ft gimmie circle and manually putted anything longer. Shots fired. I put up a whopping 6 points. 🤣
Oregon High School State Championship Recap
What a fun couple of days following our high schoolers around the State at the High School State Championships! We are thrilled with all of the success our junior golfers are having and we want to share their success with our Skool Community! 1) Our very own, Amy Simanton, lead the Lake Oswego Boys Team to the 6A State Title for their 11th State Title in history. LO broke a tie with Jesuit for the most boys State Titles in Oregon HS Golf History. 2) Lake Oswego was lead by Drew Woolworth, our extremely talented Golf Farm member. Drew shot rounds of 67-66 to finish 11-under par at OGA Golf Club to win by 8 shots in the individual race. This is Drew's 2nd straight High School Individual State Title! - The 6A Individual Race was rounded out by Jennings Oelke (71-70) and Alex Yang (74-71). Jennings has trained with us since 7th grade and to see his improvement year in and year out made Amy and Brian a little emotional during the trophy ceremony!! 🥲 Jennings will begin collegiate golf at Iona University in New York this fall. Alex Yang started with us in January and are thrilled with his steady improvement this spring, nabbing his best finish of the season! - Other Golf Members, Noah Willott (76-73) and Quinn Hefele (78-71) tied for 10th and Blake Kappes (77-74) finished in 18th place!! 3) The 5A Division also played at OGA Golf Course with Corvallis HS taking home the State Title. Ben Boyson and Chase Brown, who have worked with Brian over the past year, finished 5th (74-78) and 10th (80-75), respectively. 4) Down in Creswell at Emerald Valley Golf Club, the 6A Girls Championship wrapped up with our girls, Milla Patel (85-80) and Brianna Chen (83-83) finishing inside the Top 25! 5) Down in Corvallis, the 4A to 1A Classifications played at Trysting Tree. On the girls side, Salem Academy won the State Title by 30 shots(!) lead by our talented members Chloe Johnston and Ellie Gladow. Chloe finished in 2nd place individually with rounds of 71-76 and Ellie finished in 3rd place iwth rounds of 79-77.
