📒 AI Terms Daily Dose: Generative AI
Type: Generative AI Level: Foundational Category: AI Types 🪄 Simple Definition: Generative AI creates new things—text, images, code, or music—by learning patterns from massive datasets. 🌟 Expanded Definition: Instead of just analyzing data, Generative AI produces original outputs. Tools like ChatGPT, MidJourney, and GitHub Copilot generate human-like results that feel creative and useful. It’s why Generative AI is at the center of today’s AI revolution. ⚡ In Action: You type: “Write a LinkedIn post about car maintenance in a fun tone." Generative AI drafts a polished post in seconds. 💡 Pro Tip: Treat Generative AI like a creative partner. The clearer and more specific your prompt, the more impressive the output.

I'm sitting in a legal conference with the speaker describing what Generative AI is to a bunch of lawyers.... There might be a good joke in here somewhere. 😉
#Claude Wins for Writing Copy? 🤔
Just came across this video where someone claims Claude is their go-to for writing copy over other AI tools: https://youtube.com/shorts/UM08J6Yld2s?si=gO3GB-OzTiN9w29S This isn’t the first time I’ve heard people specifically praise Claude for copywriting work. There seems to be something about how it handles tone, structure, and persuasive writing that resonates with copywriters. **I’m curious about your experience:** - Have you found Claude particularly strong for copywriting compared to other AI tools? - What types of copy does it handle best? (Sales pages, emails, ads, social media, etc.) - Are there specific aspects where you’ve noticed it outperforms alternatives? - Or do you prefer a different tool for copy? If so, which one and why? Would love to hear what’s been working for you all. Let’s compare notes! Drop your thoughts below 👇

I've heard that too about Claude. But since I pay for ChatGPT and Gemini, I'm kind of stuck with those. I don't want add yet another AI subscription.

🖊️Community Spotlight: Author, Garry Cole
I’d like to introduce Garry Cole, author of the book Are We Old Yet? It’s an honor to have Garry as a member of our community. My wife and I have both read the book and highly recommend it. There are few books that offer such a refreshing and optimistic outlook on aging—and this is one of them. It makes a thoughtful gift for parents, friends, or anyone with a bit of gray hair who might be feeling unsure about the next phase of life. Why Highlight This in AI Bits and Pieces? Garry’s work has inspired me to start dedicating posts and Classroom content for a group that’s often overlooked in the AI space: • Those exploring a second career later in life • Retirees looking to stay curious • Grandparents who want to talk AI with their grandkids • Extra experienced workers that need an AI edge 😉 AI isn’t just for startups and coders—it’s for everyone. And right now, there's a noticeable gap in how we speak to this audience. Let’s change that. 🔜Coming Soon: Expect more content that makes AI more approachable, human, and yes—fun—for all generations. If you know someone who’s AI-curious but hesitant to dive in, this will be a place to point them. Welcome @Garry Cole! I'll have to find an audio version of the book for one of my drives. I see the same demographic anomaly/curiosity as Michael in the AI space: two divergent groups populating the space: the 20 year-olds and the second/third/last career guys.
Use Projects to Keep ChatGPT Focused
Long chats are where things usually go sideways in ChatGPT — details fade, context slips, and before you know it is mixing up ideas like a blender on high speed. That’s why the new Projects feature is such a lifesaver. Instead of trying to cram everything into one endless chat, you can keep multiple context-based chats inside a single project. Think of it like folders for your AI work: - One chat for brainstorming - One for research - One for drafting - One for editing & polish Each stays sharp and on-topic, but all live under the same project umbrella. No more scrolling through one messy mega-thread trying to remember where the “good stuff” was. Takeaway: Projects keep ChatGPT from losing the plot — they turn chaos into organized context.
