As a fellow builder currently on the hunt for my first official client, I completely relate to that "what's next" feeling once the build is done. Before stressing over monetization, I'd highly recommend just focusing on getting your first 10 free users. Let them test it out and tell you what they like. Their feedback will naturally reveal what features are actually worth charging for down the road. Keep up the great momentum!

@Ernest Banda Builder path all the way! I spend most of my time deep in n8n creating workflows, but since I’m actively hunting for my first official client right now, I’m quickly realizing how crucial the sales piece is. Having the technical chops and being great at sales is definitely the winning combo in this space.

telegram trigger
Using an n8n Telegram Trigger: if someone discovers my bot’s username, can they message it and trigger my workflow, or does it only react to my own chats by default?

@Ven L Hey Ven, by default, it reacts to anyone who messages it! To lock it down, drop an If node immediately after your Telegram trigger in n8n. Just set it to check if the incoming sender ID matches your personal Telegram ID. If it doesn't match, route it to a dead end. It’s an essential step to add so random users don’t accidentally fire off your automations or eat up your API credits!

The Agencies Winning in 2026 Aren't Just Building Automations
I have noticed something interesting. Many agencies can build impressive AI automations today. The technical barrier keeps getting lower every month but what clients really seem to value is someone who can understand their business, identify the real bottleneck and recommend the right solution even if that solution isn't the most complex automation. Technology is becoming more accessible. Business thinking is becoming more valuable. In your experience, what skill has helped you win more clients than your technical ability? I'm curious to hear what everyone has found. If anyone wants to bounce around ideas on improving their client acquisition or online presence, I'm always happy to chat.

@Legend Profit I’m currently hunting for my first official client, and this is exactly the mental shift I’m having to make right now. I spent so much time perfecting complex n8n lead qualification systems, only to realize prospects don't care about the tech stack—they just care about fixing their bottleneck. Shifting my focus from "look at this cool automation" to "here is how we fix your lead flow" changes the entire conversation. Spot on.
