CSA Education/Training
Good morning everyone: Question regarding certification/education training for incoming CSAs. To increase financial literacy and answer the "why" question surrounding the role, has anyone utilized any third party educational trainings? Like an FPQP certification course? As another example, I found a Client Service Certificate Program through Advisory Education Partners, but reviews were limited. Curious to hear what others firms are doing.

Hey Dave, I've run CSA trainings for a number of firms, especially in helping them better anticipate and communicate with advisors. Happy to chat if you'd like.
Phone System
Hey there, we are looking to upgrade our phone systems. Specifically, an option that works well for conferencing 4 or more people. Our current provider, MedTel, does not offer this option. We have also been battling a lot of spam calls. The spam filter MedTel said would help is not. We get at least 10 calls a day about our Google business listing 😵‍💫 We are considering Microsoft 365 Audio Conferencing and would love to hear any insights (good or bad) on this option. Please let me know your recommendations. Thanks!

VotaCall is also a good service and has excellent customer service and made transitions pretty seamless.
Global Relay App?
Does anyone have experience with using the Global Relay app for text and intraoffice instant message archiving? We recently switched phone providers to Zoom and they have a native chat platform that is simple and intuitive. We'd like to use it for intraoffice communication, but we need it to be archived. We also currently use MyRepChat for client texting (with Global Relay monitoring). We're somewhat limited in options by our B/D, so I reached out to Global Relay and they (of course) recommended their all-in-one solution. Curious if anyone has any experience using it for internal communication.

Global Relay is decent for archiving but has a loooooooooooooong way to go for texting and instant messaging. The phone app and the computer app aren't always synced with one another which is frustrating. Teams/Slack/even Redtail Speak better for intraoffice IM-ing. Most GR IM's are stuck unsent/unseen by folks in a timely manner which negates its usefulness for coworkers and the text messages don't alert you well when they come in b/c they constantly require you to login again and again, so, if you're not checking, you have no idea that you got something. Have heard good things about MyRepChat for client texting as well.
iPad Notetaking
Does anyone use an iPad - I am wondering what is the best option for notetaking? We use AI but I also like to take some handwritten notes as well. If you've found any other helpful things with work productivity using the iPad - would love to hear!

Depends on how you like to take notes, but I really like Notability just for scratching out ideas, taking notes or drawing out things for clients. Can be screenshotted and then added to client file if needed but it doesn't transcribe it from my handwriting to text.
Email Retention for Compliance
What company/product do you use for email retention (compliance purposes) for an RIA that uses Microsoft 365 for Emails?
