Global Relay App?
Does anyone have experience with using the Global Relay app for text and intraoffice instant message archiving? We recently switched phone providers to Zoom and they have a native chat platform that is simple and intuitive. We'd like to use it for intraoffice communication, but we need it to be archived. We also currently use MyRepChat for client texting (with Global Relay monitoring). We're somewhat limited in options by our B/D, so I reached out to Global Relay and they (of course) recommended their all-in-one solution. Curious if anyone has any experience using it for internal communication.

@James Cantwell Thanks so much for this super in-depth answer. 100% agree, and love the intentional pun! As a small firm, we've already established the communication disciplines you're referring to, so no issues there. The addition of internal chat would simply eliminate the walking back-and-forth (although I don't mind getting my steps in) while also solving for the occasional work-from-home-because-someone-is-sick. I've seen exactly what you're talking about at another firm, and it can become a nightmare when there are no established guardrails. My first preference would be to utilize the technology that exists in our current tech stack if it makes sense and is acceptable to the B/D. That said, I won't limit myself to just those options if a potentially better solution exists. That's what led me to the Global Relay app question. But based on what @Tammy Lee already mentioned and my experience so far with GR's reps, I think I can safely rule out GR as a contender. Your comments about Slant are intriguing. I hadn't even heard of it until now. While we're not going to be switching CRMs anytime soon, I'm keeping that in my back pocket for the future. Thank you!

@James Cantwell Wealthbox - but we don't have the premier package. Would I like it to do more? Absolutely. But that's because I love automation, particularly through CRM. What we have is adequate for our business needs. In a former life, I used Salesforce FSC and built out some really powerful workflows, automation, and a pretty cool Alts platform. Alas, that's in the past. But a girl can still dream...
Calendly
Hi everyone! Question regarding Calendly. Currently, my COO is having issues with her Calendly account synching with her Outlook calendar. Rather than synching with her own calendar, it continuously maps to another colleague's calendar. We have tried completely deleting her account and reregistering but for some reason that didn't even work. Our IT is stumped and Calendly support is very limited and not so helpful. Anyone experience something like this? My thought is it could be linked to shared calendars.

It might not be a Calendly issue. I once worked at a firm where we were having a similar issue with Zoom meetings. Turns out there was a setting on that individual's profile buried within our identity provider - Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD at the time). I don't recall the details, but it was due to calendar permissions of some sort.
Virtual Meeting Assistants
Good morning! Back in June @Kevin Stephison had asked about using "AI Notes" for virtual meetings in this thread. I'm currently considering adding a meeting assistant to help with my Zoom/Teams meetings to record/transcribe/summarize my client meetings. I know @Joe Moss mentioned in the thread above that he's used Grain and Fathom. Curious, Joe... which of these 2 would you recommend and why? In the same thread @Brian Quaranta mentioned Avoma. And @Mark Wellman suggested a couple additional options. Anyone else trialed or using any of these tools and have any thoughts or opinions? Thanks very much 😀

Jump and Zocks are at the top of my list! They are both excellent choices. We currently use Zocks and have it integrated with Wealthbox, but recently, Wealthbox has released their own version (at a premium) that appears to be just as robust.

Hi everyone, I'm relatively new to the wealth management industry with only 11 years under my belt, but my expertise comes from decades of operations management in other industries. I've held various Ops roles through the years and thoroughly enjoy analyzing processes, creating efficiencies, and making people better at their jobs by creating fun and educational ways to learn and retain new skills. Outside of work, I'm constantly challenging my brain - whether it's Salesforce Trailhead (I'm a Ranger I), Arduino tutorials, or creating escape rooms for friends/family, I have an endless thirst for keeping up with tech-ish stuff! I'm looking forward to learning and growing through this community.
