I usually take meds to help, but apparently took meds every day for too long. So, new med plan. Mon-Fri i take me meds...Sat&Sun I do not. Since Diagnosis i have been taking meds and not many breaks. I kind of too the easy way. Now I am working on learning more about MY ADHD and figuring out coping skills for me and my brain. My thoughts etc feel very chaotic right now. This is my first weekend doing this ( i did not take meds from Thanksgiving until the monday after first).
Hello new Friends!
Hey friends 👋 I’m Tami — a Canadian-born, ADHD entrepreneur with a heart for moms, a million ideas, and a very committed relationship with sticky notes. 😅 1) Who are you and what do you do? I’m a 30+ year hairstylist turned online entrepreneur building a Skool community called Homeschoolers Toolbox. I help homeschooling military moms (especially the ones who PCS every 2–4 years) create calm, portable homeschool systems and understand their child’s learning style so they can homeschool anywhere and still have a life. 2) Why were you interested in joining this group? Because I need more people who speak fluent “I have 47 tabs open in my brain and none of them are the one I need right now.” 😂 I love community, accountability, and being around other neurodivergent entrepreneurs who get it without judgment. 3) What’s your biggest challenge with ADHD or business right now? Follow-through + focus when life is loud. I’m also a caregiver to my mom (dementia), so interruptions are real. My brain can build brilliant plans… then get distracted by a squirrel holding a funnel template. 🐿️ I’m working on keeping my priorities simple and shipping “version 1” instead of perfect. So happy to be here — can’t wait to connect with you all!

@Alison St. Romain Ahhh fellow former milso!! 🥹💛 That makes me so happy to hear—because honestly I’m building the resource I needed back then. And YES 😂 “47 tabs open but none are the one I need” is basically my brand at this point. Thank you for the kind words (and the reminder). I really needed that today. Caregiving + building a business can feel like juggling flaming swords on a trampoline, so hearing “be kind to yourself” from someone who gets it hits different. 🫂 So glad you’re here—what branch were you / how long were you in the milso life?

@Yukta Kandhari Hey! Aw thank you so much 🥹💛 Portable homeschool systems feels so needed for military families—there’s nothing like trying to recreate “normal” while living among boxes and chaos. 😅 And LOL yes… the 47 tabs open is a daily lifestyle, not a phase. 😂 So glad you’re here too! What are you building / focusing on in your business right now? 🌼

Focus Founder's First Ever BOOK CLUB Meetup! 📚🤓
Where my nerds at?! Err, I mean, my sophisticated scholars 🧐 Next Sunday (Dec. 7th), @Sebastian Schroeder and @Reema Rana are hosting Focus Founder's first-ever virtual BOOK CLUB! 👉 Check it out on the calendar here. We'll be reading "Letting Go: The Pathway to Surrender" by David R. Hawkins. Letting Go is especially relevant for people with ADHD because it teaches a simple but powerful skill: stopping the internal fight. Many people with ADHD live in a state of constant self-resistance, pushing against overwhelm, shame, frustration, distraction, and “not enough” feelings. Hawkins’ approach helps readers learn how to notice emotions without suppressing, reacting to, or judging them, which can reduce emotional spirals, burnout, and decision paralysis. For ADHD minds that feel overstimulated and emotionally intense, the practice of surrendering resistance can create more calm, clarity, and self-compassion—making it easier to focus, reset, and move forward without getting stuck in mental loops. Will you be there?!
