Just watching the first video and have a query on the Etsy listing fee. You say its $0.20 per poster and that once it sells you get charged another $0.20. Does this mean for each sale you minus $0.20 as an overhead and take it out of your profit as you will need to pay it again immediately after each sale? Apologies if this is an utterly stupid question as i think it might be!!

Hi all, I had already uploaded some prints to Etsy but suddenly realised I hadn't double checked file quality. I have spent HOURS today trying to get just one poster to an appropriate size. I thought I was getting somewhere but I've just run my pdf through a checker and it's showing only 1634.88 x 2293.12. I feel completely defeated! Let me explain the journey. I had an image in Midjourney, used subtle upscale and then exported to Upscayl where I used Upscayl standard and jpg (made the mistake of using a PNG file at first but file size exceeded 130MB). The image size showed as over 8000 x 9000 px. I updated my poster in Canva. When it came to downloading I couldn't do it as a PNG file as was restricted on size as I don't have Pro, the max I could download to as a PNG was 1587 x 2245. Instead I downloaded as a pdf flattened. I can't see the dpi for the pdf but when I zoom in the quality looks great but somehow the file size is only 1634.88 x 2293.12!!! I feel like I've wasted a whole day and got nowhere. I've searched in here and seen lots of great advice from previous posts. I 've been on chatgpt and doing as much research as I can but still left with a file I just can't use. So sorry for the long post but any step by step help would be SO appreciated. I feel like I'm learning a new language and completely failing! Thank you. P.S As a side note, I've seen that Print Shrimp prefer files in PNG but how can this be achieved without paying for canva pro as the PNG file size is limited.

Just a little encouragement for anyone still building their store and wondering if all the work is worth it… Last night I was packing for a long-haul flight when an order came through for one of my regular prints. The artwork was already with Print Shrimp, so I imported the order, paid through my wallet and carried on packing. Order 1. A couple of hours’ sleep later, driving to the airport when another order came in. This time it was a brand-new design that I hadn’t uploaded the artwork to PS yet. Order 2. I checked in my bags, found a quiet corner at the airport, resized the artwork on my phone, uploaded it to Print Shrimp and got the order sorted before boarding my flight. When I landed after the first leg, I discovered I’d sold a digital download while I was in the air. Even better, nothing to do! Order 3. Then another customer bought three prints. Two were already uploaded, but the 3rd was a new design so found a quiet corner in the lounge -and resized the missing artwork on my phone, uploaded it and got the order into production before catching my next flight.Order 4,5 and 6 ! And that’s when it really struck me. 6 Orders and my little business travelled with me. No stockroom, no packing boxes and no trips to the post office. Just my phone, my artwork and Print Shrimp taking care of the printing, packing and shipping. There is a HUGE amount of work involved in building your store and getting everything set up, and there have definitely been moments when I’ve wondered what on earth I’m doing! But this is the payoff. While I was packing, driving, sleeping and flying across the world, my shop just kept going. So for anyone still knee-deep in creating, resizing, uploading and wondering whether all those hours are worth it - just keep going. You’re not just building a shop. You’re building yourself a little bit of freedom. ❤️

Hi Everyone, my Etsy store is still in its infancy. I have managed to upload three posters from my photographs. Can you lovely people tell me which format to upload - posters with borders or no borders (i.e bleed through) . Many thanks in advance, T x

Morning all, just wanted to say hello as I am very new to all this (as the title says!) I’ve opened my shop on Etsy with just hand drawn material so far and only have a few listings at the minute. I’m very much trying to work it out as I go! I don’t have any sales as yet so not sure if it’s because my prices are too high or the fact I need more listings for visibility & traffic etc - I’m hoping I can get some advice on here 🙏🏻 also, I’ve never really thought about what’s best in digital downloads or doing physical prints?? All recommendations & advice greatly appreciated guys! 😊
