Vitamin D and K2
The Core Concept Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2 work synergistically to manage calcium in the body. Vitamin D3 increases calcium absorption from the gut. Vitamin K2 ensures that absorbed calcium is directed to the right places (bones and teeth) and away from the wrong places (arteries and soft tissues). Using D3 without adequate K2 can raise calcium levels without proper guidance, which is why pairing them is considered best practice.
