Wow that’s rough. In Australia we only need to register for tax and have insurance. If it was me though I would approach a few shop personally and build a network so they can feed to you and if too big send to them.
Where is everyone from? What's your specialty?
I am from Queensland Australia. We work on all makes and specializes in diagnosis.

@Jose Alvarez I managed an exhaust shop way back and shop ended up going broke once most systems went stainless steel.
Payment
How are yall handling customers paying their bills? If I had a brick and mortar then a customer doesn’t get their keys until they payment but mobile is different. I have 2 customers I’m waiting 4+ days for payment. Have them final invoice to their phone AND email from Tekmetric. Had my wife who is my advisor reach out to them and they say they are going to pay but still have yet to see it post and it’s kind of screwing up my future business since I’m buying parts and selling/installing them on my next vehicle but I’m still waiting on a car from last week to pay out. I was trying to keep $1000 in business checking to handle the swing with buying/selling parts but looks like I’m going jump that up to $5000

We require all customers to sign the estimate before we carry out the work. I have a strict policy no pay no car, been burnt too many times. Friends are usually the worst. On bigger jobs now I also request a minimum of 50% down payment before parts are ordered.
Any tips for when you finally catch traction?
Weird question, I know—but business has always gone up and down since I started. This time feels different though. Since updating my website and business pages, I’ve had a strong and consistent uptrend in work. For those who’ve been in this position, do you have any tips on managing workload and preventing overload? I know proper planning is key—I just haven’t been in this situation before and want to stay proactive.

We now use podium and it has a level of ai Best feature so far is if you miss a call they can leave a message or switch to txt. Most people switch and you can answer them when ever. Has freed my time up so I can get more billable hours done
