2016 jeep compass throttle position faults. These were known for bad throttle bodies. CST had it replaced 4 years ago. I got it a few weeks ago. CST c/o lack of power, vehicle won’t go over 2000 rpm. Air filter is fine. Scanned faults, throttle position faults. APP 1 and 2 are reading correct. Power and ground at the T/B are good. Accepts throttle relearn. I test drive it, feels fine at first then it’s falling on its face and won’t speed up. I replace the throttle body twice with same brand and both failed within 2 days. I take the old ones out and shake them, you can hear something loose inside the TB like it came apart internally. Replaced it a third time with a different brand and CST says it’s dying on him. Yes I did throttle relearn every time I replaced it. The most updated part from Jeep is discontinued so that’s not an option. What more should I do besides tell the guy to go buy a new car. This vehicle has the option for single 6 pins in a row or 2 row offset pins. This car was wired from factory with dual row offset pins, TSB from Jeep says to change the connector and install updated throttle body that’s discontinued. My guess is that they were having such problems with these things they changed manufactures and that’s why the connector changed. He needs to sell it off and go buy a Toyota/Honda but he doesn’t have the money for it
