💻 A real challenge: learning programming in the age of AI
I took the leap and decided to focus on OOP object-oriented programming. I’ve already learned wonderful concepts like polymorphism, composition, inheritance, and more. 🧠 My opinion: should we still learn programming in the AI era? I believe the answer is yes. In this era, we tend to make less effort, which gradually weakens our neural connections yet it’s through exercising our brain that we grow our intelligence and abilities. ✍ Taking the time to do certain things ourselves reading, writing, thinking should remain part of our daily routine, not just relying on AI. It’s a challenge: to read, write, think, and solve problems. Even with AI, we must keep our minds active. 🤖 AI should stay a tool, not a crutch. Our brain still has so much to offer, and there is still so much to create through the sheer power of our intellectual abilities. Let’s not forget: it was humans who created AI.

Hi @Yves Joseph Sikati . I am teaching Software Engineering & Data Science, for the Energy Sector. I have a Skool group. So my opinion, respectfully is that - don't just learn Data Science or Software Engineering, but rather combine it with some applied domain like Energy. This will allow you to further differentiate. Energy cannot be left to AI, due to how critical the Energy sector is. People are needed and there is many levels of code reviews done by energy professionals who know how to code. I strongly recommend you combine data science with some other field therefore. I have a complete training program inside my Skool community that I'd recommend for you. I have a 7day free trial.
1st Major Milestone achieved, Python Anaconda downloaded
1 small step successfully completed = making progress. Working on level 2 and now have Python Anaconda down loaded. I still don't know anything about it yet but looking forward to learning more and making all this information make sense. Are there many others here that have absolutely zero experience with AI and coding or just me? 🧐

Congratulations @Doug Wilson ! I am teaching Data Science (including Machine Learning and Optimisation) and Software Engineering - all applied to the Energy Sector. Because in Energy most people cannot actually code as energy was never so much about coding - but now things are changing. I have a full program on my Skool group , for beginners. I'd highly recommend. Let me know
What is agentic AI?🎯
Agentic AI is an artificial intelligence system that can accomplish a specific goal with limited supervision. It consists of AI agents machine learning models that mimic human decision-making to solve problems in real time. In a multiagent system, each agent performs a specific subtask required to reach the goal and their efforts are coordinated through AI orchestration. What are the advantages of agentic AI? 🔹Autonomous 🔹Proactive 🔹Specialized 🔹Adaptable 🔹Intuitive Source:IBM

Great summary! One thing to add: while agentic AI can be quite autonomous, the "limited supervision" aspect is crucial—most production systems still need human oversight for important decisions . In energy systems specifically, where I specialise, agentic AI is particularly valuable for optimizing grid operations, and managing distributed renewable resources in real-time.
