glazing putty no adhesion to PUR bumper.
• experiencing poor adhesion of Evercoat Polyflex glazing putty to a PUR bumper, despite proper surface preparation (sanding, washing, plastic cleaner). • The putty easily scratches off, leaving a yellow residue. • The user suspects the product may not be suitable for PUR due to its declining popularity. My idea is to spray the bumper with epoxy primer as ive been told its a great base and will allow paint and clear to flex, and help mitigate rockchips. Its down to plastic that light blue stuff is leftovers of factory primer its sanded with 180 btw and is slick as an egg. Yes its clean for sure im thinking maybe 180 is too fine for this plastic.

I used jb weld with fiberglass cloth to fix the cracks. Of course cleaned, grooved with a dremel.. it works super great..

@Antony Edgar you said 180 by hand in the gaps, would the "grille at the bottom" part be included in that? wasnt planning on spraying any build primers in that area just the big front facing areas that got rock chipped+the repair areas. . Was just gonna go over the "lower grille" with marroon pad to catch any primer overspray and probably seal the entire thing before base. Btw im doing the whole thing, the bumper is just for warmup because i want to spray something Just to clarify the grille at the bottom part i left the paint on because i realized its adhesion is superior, but 90% of the bumper is raw because i got carried away sanding it as I *believe* i saw some spiderwebbing. But yeah thats some secret 90s toyota primer. That paint is like, fused with the plastic...

Please help
Would love some input on some paint/clear issues. I did not have room for a compressor in the shop so I decided to buy the inokraft air gun. It's a new product that requires no compressor. I'm using shopline paint and sprayed in a shop well above 100 degrees. The paint is pretty heavily orange peeled so I decided to wet sand and buff it. The clear is extremely hazy and cloudy. Could anyone provide input for help. This is my first paint job ever. My patch panels and sanding look good and so does the color but the orange peeled clear ruins the paintjob.

If you used 2k clear and let it flash off properly between coats you should be able to turn this into that. I dont think sanding the clear flat is the way to go. Can try hitting it with 2000 on a soft interface pad with a da to cut down the highs then buff it with wool on a rotary to heat it up a bit and it should melt the high a bit to make it nicer looking
